So picture this, you are suddenly withdrawing troops after 2 decades in a country and, well, its all gone to shit.

How do you ensure that your vulnerable citizens and allies can get out when the airport is surrounded and no one can get through?

Option 1: it's a trick question surely? You don't get yourself into this mess in the first place - you withdraw the citizens first, not last, duh!

Option 2: you give a list of names and addresses of all your citizens and allies TO THE ENEMY in the hope that they let through just the people you identified.

Option 3: you walk off to get an ice-cream without taking questions because you are a fucking retard.

Biden and everyone involved in this needs to see some prison bars followed by a trial and then a firing squad. His solution to the balls-up seems to be to have every potential inconvenient potential hostage killed by the Taliban. It's hard to imagine any possible worse thing to do, than to give a list of names to the Taliban.

They just put those people on a kill list.

The stupidity is stunning. Yeah sure we can trust the Taliban……. They have changed.

Yep, you've have to be a complete dumb-ass to enter into negotiations with the Taliban and trust them to abide by anything.

Truth is, all US Administrations from Bush to Biden have been dismal failures in Afghanistan for the simple reason they have not addressed the fundamental reason the Afghan Army proved so useless – corruption! While senior military figures were pocketing millions from ghost soldiers, real soldiers were going unpaid. And the response from US/NATO??? Throw more money at it.

Humvees are the least of the problem. Assume every high-tech weapon has already been sold to Russia or the Chinese.

I notice you used a headline with "Trump" in it in a typical but lame attempt to try to give the impression that Trump caused this, yet Trump did a phenomenal job on foreign policy. Seriously, what he did in his term was above reproach - all you can think of is fake news that never happened.

    This was all on Biden.

They withdrew and gave away their heavily defended, easy-to-secure Bagram airbase and "kept" the domestic airport that is slap bang in the middle of Kabul, easier to surround and difficult to secure.

It's just blithering idiocy. You don't even have to have military experience to know it was profoundly dumb to the point that no one would chose that ... only an idiot would command it.

Here is an interesting tidbit, that may explain why Biden did certain things. This is my conjecture based on various articles going all the way back to the Obama era when Ukraine, Russia and China started to plan the so-called "Biden Memorial Pipeline" from Ukraine to China using a company named Burisma.

    - There were reports today that the Taliban and Turkmenistan started talks about building oil pipeline infrastructure through Afghanistan in February

    - There is talk about the Biden admin involved in pushing expanding the scope of the TAPI pipeline (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India) and apparently has been involved in pushing along the negotiations with Taliban and Turkmenistan, although the State Department has stated, the US did not "directly fund" the development, they did not deny being involved at some level.

    - The companies involved with the supply of Turkmenistan oil and ostensibly going to be doing the build-out for Turkmenistan-Taliban pipeline are a chain of companies, the primary companies that happen to be involved with the supply in Turkmenistan will be subsidiaries of a certain Burisma Holdings...

Sure, the fact checkers will say that Biden has divested itself from Burisma a while ago, but the question remains, what influence did these developments have on the decisions made by a certain Joe Biden when his son walked away with bags of cash from these companies.

Ultimate Axion: you don't get to do the propagandizing bit twice. This was all Biden's doing. It's completely on him.

It's nothing at all to do with whether you withdraw troops or not, it's the manner that you do it. Biden mis-managed that all on his own.

He probably thought it was planning a trip to the ice-cream store, so he made it "right away, this afternoon!"
