We had a very well respected brother from Wat farm drop dead in field service. No help there.

Yeah. I remember JWs saying that if they had to die, that they hoped it would be while out in FS or at a meeting. I guess they thought dying while in service to Jehovah is a JW first class ticket into the new system...

I prayed one time to Jesus that he end the meeting soon, and it happened!

He sure protected all those people huddled in to those Kingdom Halls in the phillipines a few years ago. NOT!

He's not protected the many I know, including young children, getting terminal cancer and having to endure pain and suffering before they finally pass away, mere shells and shadows of their former selves. Of course he is a bit busy making sure planning applications for new buildings in Chelmsford get approved and accomplishing the impossible task of organising a three day event in a football stadium.

    Bastard.

TB, from the time I was a little kid my mother told me an experience she had while going door to door. She was working in an exclusive rural area in Santa Barbara Ca. The house was a mansion on a hill with a long winding driveway. (Mom didn't weigh 100 lbs soaking wet)

As her story goes, she started to walk up the driveway alone. When she got about halfway up two large Doberman dogs ran toward her. She was TERRIFIED! She said a quick prayer and what do you know? One dog got on her left side and the other her right side and gently escorted her up to the doorstep. The lady of the house looked shocked and exclaimed, "How did you make it up to to my door???!!! These are guard dogs trained to attack intruders!"

Mom said the angels must have protected her.... and i bought it. :(

Wow 3rdgen! Could your mother's experience have been the basis for the story I heard? Very interesting. Thank you for sharing that! If so, the story spread all the way to Atlanta...

TB, I have no way of knowing. If the story was repeated through the JW rumor mill it was by others she may have told or my dad who was much more outgoing and was a buddy of Knorr and Jaracz.

For the record, this experience happened about 1961 or 1962. My take on it now is that dogs are very good at sensing malice. Since she was sincere in her work and a female the dogs thought she would be welcome by the lady of the house.

When pioneering ,attacked by an Alsation bitten up the back of my legs ,another time a bull terrior latched onto my hand and would'nt let go till the owner come to the gate ,another working with my ex wife a woman set her 2 Dobermans onto us and we had to run back to the car 300 metres ,oh Jehovah was'nt around then or around when countless Jehovahs witness children have been raped molested and some murdered.
