Just to remind you, the recent court decision included a judgement about WT and freedom of speech something the organisation has long prided itself about.

    Infosekta
Media release of July 8, 2020
    7. TheWatchtower Organisation denies members the human right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion according to Article 18
    Statement by the expert (Tages-Anzeiger)
"Furthermore, Article 18 states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, a right that the Watchtower Society claims for itself but does not grant its members."
    Judgment of the court
By ostracizing members who no longer share the faith, they are implicitly denied freedom of faith and conscience (Proof of Good Faith).
    Remarks of the court
"As stated above, a form of bullying is exerted when members of Jehovah's Witnesses no longer believe or develop a different faith. In that case, such people are excluded and ostracized, which is thought to encourage them to return to the community. Without the shared faith, they are no longer and/or can no longer be part of the community. Implicitly, therefore, they are denied freedom of faith and conscience within the community" (cf. acts 12/12/34, 12/12/2, 12/3 p. 55).

The news section of the JWdotOrg website has an item as follows: Bold highlights mine.

Jehovah’s Witnesses imprisoned for their faith as of July 2020
“The right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion” is a fundamental human right, according to Article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. * In some lands, however, Jehovah’s Witnesses are denied this basic right and are unjustly jailed and even suffer cruel mistreatment. Most of those imprisoned were arrested merely for practicing their faith. Others are imprisoned for their conscientious objection to military service.

107 people are listed as being imprisoned. This is of course a gross breach of their human rights.

The hypocrisy demonstrated here is breath taking. There is no mention in the legal developments section of their own humiliating reversal and tacit admittance of guilt in the field of human rights affecting millions of people world wide. It's hard to get your head around brass neck required to publish this stuff.

Given what Watchtower does with arithmetic in relation to it's 1914 doctrine and given that arithmetic is either the most powerful tool of science or is science itself (maybe that is maths not arithmetic) - Watchtower does not allow freedom to even add up two and two to get four. That hinders a member in relation to scientific equiry.

Well presented Slidin. The indoctrination machinery is always at work in Watchtower HQ. Everything they say or print is for the purpose of furthering their own domain of influence. They cultivate their flock to blindly obey their crass instructions including the shunning of family members for choosing not to remain JWs.

I like the WT quote which you have highlighted on "human rights", only mentioned by them when they are adversely affected but they never consider their own responsibilities and actions as subject to the same International Covenant regulations. Their attitude is and always has been as if they are above the law because they imagine they exclusively have God's backing!

Their arrogance has been exposed in the Swiss court.

Let's hope the principle is enforced and that JW org will be subjected to sanctions if they don't comply and equally that WT HQ recognise that they are abusive bullies who need to mend their ways.

What does one expect of an ORGANIZATION that raised itself above every other organization on earth. To the ORGANIZATION they believe they hold the key to what FREEDOM means from God's standpoint. In fact freedom is only best ENJOYED within the WALLS of the ORGANIZATION. In order to prove themselves right they introduced SHUNNING. That makes the freedom they OFFER an IRONY.

This just proves that the GB are not just bungling old idiots trying to do their best, but Cult leaders who know exactly what they are doing. These men are beyond saving.

Also, IF the Cult was the one true religion, then why worry about being persecuted or even executed for your faith? Any persecuted JW should feel privileged to give their life in the service of their God. It’s the highest honor that they could ever receive.

Why even go to Court to defend these modern-day Bible Heroes??? Just list their names every so often in an article. Surely that would be encouraging to the R&F?? The GB listed names of children who died for refusing blood, so surely they can do the same for these “Martyrs.” Why not respect their sacrifice and stay out of Court?

It’s almost as if the GB don’t really believe the religion...
