No. Not in any way shape or form. I'm not being immodest, just honest. I was very careful to be sensitive to householders' moods, my presentation was almost apologetic, I never felt superior to anyone so I never acted that way. I was a pretty nice Witness. I was not considered a good Witness, I was considered neurotic and trouble in the congregation, but I don't think anyone could ever accuse me of being a jerk.

Sorry to say that I was a Jerk at times. Yes, I was a self righteous sanctimonious and shallow prick. As a matter of fact, my assholishness was one of the reasons that I walked away. I realized that I was becomming what I despised. I didn't really care that much about people...I just wanted to be seen to be concerned because to get ahead, you had to be seen pressin' flesh and kissin' babies. Seriously, when I realized how shallow of a peson I'd become, I became filled with self-loathing and decided it was time for some changes.

As for me well I guess I wasn't a jerk but a real pain in the
asskeester for the ones that wanted to shove conformity of dubdom down my throat. I fought the hard fight against that, it did not make me popular but hey I survived -

If you ask many elders, yes, I was a jerk.
If you ask the older people, new people, single mothers and children and "religiously divided" families, no, I was not a jerk, but a helper, a friend, and hearing ear.
