    Hello,

Someone told me that the WTS own something called Valley Farms but could not show me anything to proove it.

Could anyone confirm the Valley Farms existence and if it does exsist what the WTS use it for.

    Thanks

    Buongiorno Tina,

Lets just say that i've been in Italy many many times and lived there too but at the moment i'm not posting from there. As there are not many english speaking Italian "inactive" Gianluca's around, i prefer not saying much more about myself.
    I sure you'll understand.
The local elders are looking for proof to eliminate me.....

    Parli l'italiano?

    Ciao

    Gianluca,

You're not talking about WT farms are you? I believe WT Farms is in upstate NY. However, it wouldn't suprise me if the WTS owned a different farm for profit. They own stock in a high-tech co., I believe, and at least one car dealership.

I may be wrong, but I think that WTS Valley farms is a fruit orchard (not to be confused with bethel in the 70's* ) located in florida. Probably where all the fresh squeezed juice (stop it!) at bethel comes from.

    *sorry joelbear, couldn't help myself

    it provides fruit for bethel

the local jw work the farm mainly and they loved to do it cause it gives them the feeling that they are connected to bethel like a Parttime bethlite on the weekends type thing

it really ain't no big deal- when you consider that the land was donated and the labor is free

    Hi Gianluca,

-come stai?- You see I'm teasing you.
To go to the topic, I think SixofNine
could have touched a soft spot...!
I did make a quick research into my
...archives and I did get this:

z wt. 1.1.1885 Vol. VI pag. 708 Reprints

*(footnote) " We here remark that the Florida land
donated to the Society, is not included in the
above account, as it did not come into the
Society's possession before the close of 1884."

See if anyone else can give more details...

    Agape to all, J.C.MacHislopp

I went to the upsate New York farm several times in my youth. It is a huge "not for profit" farm that grows just about everthing. It is supposed to feed all the volunteers at bethel. I will never forget how we volunteered our time in the strawberry fields andd got in trouble(by our parents) for eating more than we put in the basketI haven't heard of the Florida farm though.
