KariOtt, he is probably just worried about your reaction to what is really going on with him at the KH, so he's trying to hide it. That's my guess, anyway.
If it were me, I'd ignore it since it doesn't really impact you as the shunners aren't your friends anyway.
Take care of you and let him deal with his fake friends. It's not your problem. And if he has to make up stories about why they are doing what they are doing, that is just more cognitive dissonance for him that might to one day help him wake up.
