Just remember that science has no need to bend the truth or cover up the facts. Cults on the other hand have to censor, trick, punish and forbide info in order to protect a carefully concieved lie.

The wts may have tried to say that. But they are wrong in this just as the wrong in every other thing they say. Most scientists consider Neanderthals - H. neanderthalensis- a separate species from modern humans, or else a subspecies - H. sapien neanderthalensis. They were sufficiently anatomically different from modern humans to be classified this way. To argue that Neanderthals were merely a race of modern humans is to completely ignore the scientific evidence.
Interestlingly there now seems there were a number of species of Homo that were contempories of modern humans. H. floresiensis was a small human that lived up till about 15000 years again what is now Indonesia. And a number of other species are also being researched at the moment.

You should look up what "Common Ancestor" means in evolutionary biology. The quote from WT is simply quote-mining and misleading without further explanation of said common ancestor.
Look up Richard Dawkins on YouTube, he's a bright and explains very well what's wrong with various theological ideas (such as ID and creationism).

From what I understand Neanderthal man had a larger brain than modern man also was much stronger but was less mobile.
