There will be requests to contribute to the world-wide preaching work and a reminder not to "designate" or specify how the contributions are to be used since they will determine where the funds are most needed.

That's what I had thought to say. If only the above were actually a joke. No, it's so true.
They will actually spend the tiniest amount on aid to their own and inflate the stories as already mentioned. They will continue to call out for cash-only donations as a few months go by, even mentioning that goods should not be donated, they will say that nobody from outside the area should come to help unless they are "approved" through their elders and regional building committee.
They will arrange for token help that will be peanuts compared to the donations they get. But they will brag on how they did so much and how their pioneers went right out after the storm to give hope and comfort to people as they left vital magazines with them.
Yeah Outlaw, but you better not donate to the Salvation Army.
