Needless to say it's the same old rubbish. The WT has the usual 'Doom & Gloom front cover, end of the world, fireball, people running in panic...

Great. Then I can just skip 16 pages instead of skipping 32.

Thanks for looking it over for the rest of us.

Yikes - what a silly Watchtower cover! Back to the 1930s - the martians are coming! Definitely one for the archives.

    Interesting admission on page 8.

"We" have been mistaken about setting dates in the past, as opposed to their usual "some" as in "Some brothers might have acted presumptuously..."

The rest of the blurb is pandering, self-serving, and a load of dingo's kidneys, but at least they acknowledge their past errors.

    First people to die (apparently):

Folks who work where business dress is required (probably college grads)

Folks who have hi-tech music gear

Folks with glasses (Khmer Rouge didn't like them either)

About the admission on page 8 .... Doesn't it drive you nuts how the Organization equates someone asking Jesus a question of anticipation with them making false predictions that were taught as fact?

Scriptures used in article to justify how they are no different than Jesus's first century disciples ...

(Luke 19:11) While they were listening to these things he spoke in addition an illustration, because he was near Jerusalem and they were imagining that the kingdom of God was going to display itself instantly.
(Acts 1:6) When, now, they had assembled, they went asking him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
(2 Thessalonians 2:1, 2) However, brothers, respecting the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we request of YOU 2 not to be quickly shaken from YOUR reason nor to be excited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
