10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”N ow, from my perspective "work" means doing WHATEVER is needed to take care of things.If worrying about your family's welfare motivates you to a level of action required to take care of them and get that job, or run a successful business, then you're fulfilling your "biblical" obligations.
The more they spew the more disgusted I get with the GB.

I lasted 40 years as a jw because I never believed anything from the platform that did not pass the smell test no matter who said it, including Fred Franz. If it was not clearly stated in writing in a publication with at least 3 scriptures....well....I rejected it, did not share it with anyone but I went my own way quietly. What finally got me out for good was a circuit assembly with 3 statements that were each a punch in the face:
1) jws married to non-jws were kissing a corpse
2) just like young elephants were conditioned to obey even when able to leave by chaining to a log; they stayed even when they were strong enough to leave
3) if Jesus saw a dirty penny and a shiny quarter on the sidewalk, he would pick up the shiny quarter, jesus don't touch no dirty pennies
