Is Loretta for real? Where do they find these people? Let me get this straight: When the company relocated the business, her boss checked for her place of worship to accommodate her beliefs, and she turned it down?

Quintessentially, you've got to love the it when the GB proverbially kicks the JWs in the ass by scripture-quoting the life-sytle of the rich and famous.

Loretta, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, had a good job at a food-preparation company. When the company was to relocate, Loretta was offered an important position at the new place: “It’s the chance of a lifetime,” the directors told her. “We’ve already found out that there’s a Kingdom Hall there.” But Loretta wanted to simplify her life to serve the Creator more fully. She saw that the new post would leave her less time for Christian activities. Hence, she submitted her resignation, though the director confided that she was the only employee whom they really wanted to keep. Loretta, who now has been a regular pioneer for some 20 years, is convinced that the good results obtained were directly related to her having planned with “skillful direction,” yes, in harmony with the advice found in God’s Word. She strengthened her relationship with Jehovah and has had the privilege of helping several to accept
    Bible truth.

(...) True success is not determined by the material or social goals that those in the world often pursue. King Solomon understood this. He was inspired to write: “It will turn out well with those fearing the true God, because they were in fear of him.” (Eccl. 8:12)

Well spoken by a King with 700 wives a 300 concubines, so just what was the WT trying to imply here?

The Bible cldarly says the seventh king would be there for a short time. That must be the Anglo-American dual world power. But then the 8th king follows it which is a combination of all the others, meaning the U.N., the scarlet-colored wild beast to whom all the major governments give up their power.

We see that now, the inevitable coalition of all the world governments solving the global issues through the U.N. So it is not the Anglo-American dual world power that is ruling when the stone hits, but the U.N.

The TEN toes must represent the composite of all worldly governments cooperating through the U.N.. The number ten represents "earthly completeness" so is not an absolute number but a figurative one. The ten toes thus repesent the various collective member nations of the U.N.

This is directly from the Bible. So that would accommodate what we see today with the new emergic economic countries including China, Brazil and others not previously on the world scene influencing the global economy.

The US is already giving up sovereignty to the U.N.! the U.S. includes the U.N. in global issues and requires the other member nations to pay their fair share now. The US does not want the burden of being the world's police. It is financially strapped and needs the cooperation of the other member nations now.

The next BIG EVENT that we are now to expect is the destruction of "Babylon the Great" which is not the "world empire of false religion", that is, organized religions around the world. It is the underground activities of the "Illuminati" which subscribes to the "Mysteries" of ancient Babylon and Egypt. This is well documented on conspiracy theory weblinks. It is that faction in the world that put the seeing-eye pyramid on the dollar and why C.T. Russell was mysteriously honored by a huge pyramid on his Freemasonry grave site. BTG is thus the connection to the economic control exerted over the world by world banking, etc. So when we see the U.N. destroy the Federal Reserve and all the nations create a world government through the U.N. then we know the next event will be Armageddon.

I still don't see what is really different other than the toes, it doesn't actually change what was taught about the final kings ... does it? It just seems to be a repackaging of what was already believed to somehow instill the thought that the end is really soon now even though nothing has changed. The only thing they seem to be avoiding is the pushing between the king of the north and south.

I am such an IDIOT for getting mixed up with this BS!

Yeah, they've been banging on the so-called "Anglo-American World Power" since at least the 80s (remember the Rev Climax book?) and probably further back than that. I doubt they'll touch the KOTN vs KOTS again anytime soon, they're just way too clueless and I think they're cautious of throwing too much new end-times theology out there because they know how ridiculous it could potentially make them look. They're already experiencing fallout over the "overlapping generation", why make the situation worse by feeding more conjectural nonsense to an already weary, confused, and restless flock?

And yeah, if these "experiences" are not completely fabricated, they have to at least be embellished. Your employer scouting for a new place of worship for you? For someone in "food preparation"? Are you kidding me?

Does "Loretta" by any chance have a son in high school named "Andre" who was recently offered a full ride scholarship to Harvard after spending his Senior year successfully fending off the advances of a popular girl who was determined to seduce him?

They really do not seem to get the contradiction in this magazine, and their overall teaching. The cover is witnessing in Thailand where there are almost no JWs. But then they say the end is soon. Soon, these 69 million people in Thailand will be killed, because the preaching work did not fully reach them in time. How is the whole preaching aspect at all encouraging when it has had so little reach.

Also, an indication of how poor Watchtower research is, they list the population of Thailand as 65million, which is the 2005 figure. The current figure is 69 million. I wonder why they don't check these things before printing.
