I think being a Witness can screw anyone up.
My daughter told me that an ex elder and pioneer is now working with her. They went to the same pioneer class. He told he was df'd but needs structure in his life so he want to go back to the "Truth". She strongly advised him to look elsewhere and he in turn, he gave her a serious look of disapproval.
