Noetic is from the Greek and relates to the mind. Our whole being is tainted because of the Fall.

I stand corrected on the origins of "noetic". Metaphysical? Philosophy? You are still merely spouting an opinion.

He probably gets a lot of comfort and satisfaction from his answers and belief.

If you believe in miracles and are not a materialist his answers are pretty good.

Who doesnt believe in miracles? Even evolution is a miracle.

If this life is all there is eat, drink and be merry.

And if there is a God and an after life "eat, drink and be merry", those are Solomens words in Ecclesiastes.
