Did having a Bethelite travel to your congregation and deliver a talk motivate, encourage, or excite you?

On the other side of the coin, it was a thrill being a Bethel speaker in a foreign language congregation. I always had two Bethel boys as traveling companions as we traveled by train or bus to different towns early Sunday mornings. I would begin on time, only the two bros in the audience. By the close of the hour - hour talks then - the rented hall was filled.

Hospitality from and sincere appreciation of the humble brothers and sisters made the experience memorable and very much worth the effort.

A bethelites came to our circuit assembly last year (2009 actually) and gave a really good talk. He was talking about his mother, and my mom got really emotional and just burst out crying, cause he was talking about his mother, and my mom lost her mom when she was 17. The society is really good at playing on peoples emotions.
