Interesting stuff that may or may not relate to our experience. Any thoughts?

Platos Allegory of the Cave comes to mind..

I already have PTSD not actually the JW's fault like I used to think, but from my dads abuse. If it were him comeing out of the shaft I would not have give him hugs and kisses but may have pushed him back down the shaft.

I saw some of them being rescued and tears came to my eyes with joy that they were being brought up alive and looked pretty good for living in the mines so long. When the news first broke months ago I thought they were all going to die.....I am thankful I was completely wrong.

Anyone have a news article on the JW having mistress?

I think a religous war went on underneath that ground.
It was WONDERFUL to see each survivor emerge
Because so many spoke about their faith & one even knelt
seems to imply that many of their faith was tested.
I do feel pity for the JW as when he imerged he looked sad.
Yes he had a wonderful pretty "kisser" to greet him,but his
wife said she would not be there.I bet not too much will be said
about what truly went on below, many were Catholics.
But as I have said onmany occasions .Religion in MY opinion
isnt what matters it is FAITH!!!! I prayed all day! cried when
each one was rescued. I cant answer WHY this paticular
group was saved ,whilst many, many more people were dying all
over the world in terrible circumstance, but I TRULY do belive THIS
paticular instance was a religous test on many of them.
Now those who pray ,lets pray for the JW he is in hotter
place now .....Once the elders get him.

Podobear - I agree this is a truly amazing story. The last man out, who gained a reputation for being a great leader, kept them all busy doing tasks in shifts for the first 17 days before they made contact with the rescuers. 17 days in the dark not knowing if you'd ever be found! That will be some film.

Hope you're doing well. I joined on the same thread as you back when you were hoping there was finally going to be a clear out at the top of the WTS. Seems like that's only happened at the Hammers.
