Bush Pushes King of North

Back at election time I predicted Bush would win. BIG DEAL I had
a 50/50 chance picking the winner. This is definitely not a great
prognostication. But I stuck stubbornly to this prediction from
the point where it became clear Bush would win the Republican
nomination. Brothers at the hall would bring up the subject in
casual conversation and I would confidently give my prediction even
through the ups and downs of the various counts and legal disputes.

Bush seemed a better fit for the End Game then Gore who had a reputation of covering over the problems in Russia. Although I don't believe in a Supreme Being/God or whatever you want to call him/her I do believe there is something uncanny about the Bible's predictions
concerning the "end". I don't believe that prophecy necessarily
implies the existence of God. Prophecy could mean the existence of
something undetectable at our current stage of technology. When
speaking about Bible Prophecy I don't mean the Watchtower
interpretation of the End Game which has been a dismal failure up
to this point. I have my own idiosyncratic interpretation of the
    finale.

Russia is the 7th head of the beast at Revelation 13 that appears
slaughtered to death yet revives and becomes that which all the
earth eventually worships and declares "Who is like the wild beast
and how can you do battle with it?" The Soviet Union is the only
significant empire in recent history that has suffered death. The
entity that resurfaces in Revelation 13 is not described as an
economic success but as a powerful military force. The Watchtower
interpretation is that the head that suffers death and rebirth is
the Anglo American world powers. That thesis is historically and
hysterically ridiculous. If asked "when did Britain die?" any
schoolboy would look at you like you're crazy.

The Wild Beast is positioned against the Great Harlot. The harlot
exercises hegemony over the whole world and at the same time is so
wealthy that all those who have ships at sea became rich due to her
excessive consumption. The United States assumes this role. Of
course the Bible doesn't use the economic concept "excessive
consumption". The Bible calls it "shameless luxury".

Back to Bush - The Wild Beast & Great Harlot are paralleled in
Daniel Chapter eleven as the King of The North and the King of the
South. In Revelation the Harlot Sits atop the Wild Beast as it
does the Whole World. In the final part of Daniel the 11th chapter
the King of the South is described as pushing the King of the
North. There is no doubt that the King of the South is the
instigator. Is it simply coincidence that Bush and his Republican Hawks are pushing against Russia. Look at the recent facts. Putin was the first foreign leader to offer help in fighting terrorism. He even opened the way for Americans to stage their attack on the Taliban from territories that were once part of the Soviet Space. Offering access to American Troops was critical to launching an assault before hard winter set in. In addition the Russians kept the Northern Alliance supplied with weapons and tanks. As a further gesture of good-will Putin has started the process of closing down their listening station in Cuba and a base in Viet Nam. So what does Putin get in return? Bush announced in December that the US was unilaterally withdrawing from the ABM treaty. The Anti-Ballistic Missile treaty was central to the Salt I and Salt II nuclear disarmament treaties. This was a very strong rebuff of Putin's friendship. The next item on the agenda is nuclear arms reduction. The US is offering to cut nuclear weapons from around 5,000 to 1,500 weapons. But here's the catch. The US refuses to bind to this agreement. Russia wants a legal document as a basis of this action. In addition the US has now stated that the 3,500 or so weapons will not be destroyed but simply stored in case of some future emergency. Russia properly points out that this is not arms reduction but merely reduced readiness for war. The US has also stated that it intends to resume underground testing of nuclear weapons. For two months following Sept 11th the US avoided criticizing Russia's anti-terrorist war in Chechnya. Now that the war in Afghanistan is over they are back to accusing Russia of human rights violations. Russia recently closed down the last free TV broadcaster in Russia. Even though this is reprehensible behavior it is clearly an internal Russian matter but that doesn't stop the US from criticizing Russia for this action. This summer it seems likely that the US will push for the Baltic Countries to become NATO members. My prediction is that this will be the final act that will force Russia to retaliate. Bush has done a perfect job of playing the PUSHER.

The Watchtower sees Russia and the USA both standing at the end.
But this is not what we find in Daniel 11. Just as the Wild Beast
(Russia) destroys Babylon the Great (USA) immediately preceding
Armageddon so Daniel Chapter 11 ends with only one King for the
final curtain. After the King of the North retaliates against the
South's pushing there is no more said about the King of the South.
Since the intent of the eleventh chapter is to report the
activities of both kings it seems strange that ONLY the King of the
North is described as suffering defeat. It isn't hard to figure
out that the King of the South falls to the King of the North.

When Daniel and Revelation are read from this perspective there is
a very clear parallelism. Although the writer of Revelation draws
on some of the symbols and language of Daniel I think it highly
unlikely that the parallelism between King of North versus King of
the South were intended. This is a connection that could only be
    intuited at this particular time.

There are many other weird things that appear to be connected.

Daniel 8 describes a "stern-faced king" who is a "master of
deception" who "becomes powerful but not by his own power".

Russian President Putin is a perfect fit. He has been described as
"stern faced/ Steely, Dour" he is an ex-KGB spy and became
powerful by means of Yeltsin appointing him as his successor.

The fragmented condition of the last empire as expressed in the
feet of clay and iron is a fitting symbol for Russia and its over
    100 nationalities.

The beast that died and was revived becomes an eighth king though
formerly "one of the seven". This is not the League/UN as the
    Watchtower believes.

The disgusting thing that appears in a holy place is THE SIGNAL for
flight from the land that is to be desolated.

There are at least 10 events in a chain of events that are both
unique and significant that suggest the final events in the chain
will also take place. The most important event will be the
"disgusting thing standing in a holy place. That is the one event
that requires critical action for survival. There is no need to do
anything unless such a signal is clear.

Don't underestimate the statistical significance of these events
occurring. Any single event can be expressed as having a
probability of 50% from the point of view that it could either have
happened or not happened. If you go over or under 50% you are
claiming you have knowledge of why an event either has to occur or
is unlikely to occur. The coin flip is the simplest model of the
probability of an event where you have no knowledge of the
likelihood of something happening. The statistical significance is
not in calling a single coin toss. Significance increases with the
number of events associated in a chain of events. Using the
Binomial Probability Distribution the chances of 10 events with a
probability of .5 occurring in sequence is about 1 out of 500 trials.
Not astronomical but highly unlikely to be achieved just by chance.

    prop,

Are you starting a new religion??? You should read the Studies in the Scriptures, by Charles Taze Russell. His arguements were just as convincing when discussing powers that are not even players today.

Get a grip. Daniel and Revelation have nothing to do with reality.

Sorry, if I rained on your parade, but that is how I see it.

    Larc:

I am not starting a new religion. I am just intrigued with some correspondencies that seem to fit.

As to Daniel not having anything to do with reality? Of course it doesn't. The future is NOT yet REALITY.

Those who believe in Daniel might argue that Russell got it wrong because the time wasn't right. Actually I believe Russells mistakes could have been detected in his day. There was no need to wait until the non-fullfilment of his predictions.

Hmmmmmm maybe there's something to this astrology stuff too!!

US, Russia more starcrossed under Bush -astrologer
    November 15, 2000

MOSCOW (Reuters) - George W. Bush is more impulsive than Al Gore
    and will not
be as good a partner for Russia if he becomes U.S. president, a
    Russian
    astrologer said Wednesday.

"He is not able to be versatile in the same way as (Russian
    President
Valdimir) Putin or Gore in building relations with those around
    him,"
Alexander Zarayev wrote in the weekly Argumenti i Fakti.

He said Bush had a desire to achieve results quickly which could
    lead to
conflict with Russia's plans. He also said Bush's astrological
    chart showed
him to be a person prone to being impulsive and not always thinking
    through
    his actions.

"Between Bush and Putin, formal or even strained relations could
    arise,"
    Zarayev said.

But he was not unqualified in his praise for Vice President Gore.

"(Gore) does not have sufficient breadth of outlook and he needs
    good
advisers. He will be a rather easily controlled president, but
    periodically
he will try to break free of this," he said.

The astrologer also said serious changes in the global arena, and
    in
particular with regard to America, would force Putin to operate
    more
    dynamically.

"In general in 2001 we will see another Putin -- he will be more
    decisive and
    focused."

    >I don't believe that prophecy necessarily

    Very peculiar.

You do not believe in the existence of God, though in Bible Prophecy and
    in Book of Revelation ?

    I tell ya one thing:
You can make any sort of prophecy coming true if you have the power to get it fulfilled. If there is no source for such a power, then is no fulfilling of prophecy. Logical, or not ?

E.g.: You can say to your neighbor: Tomorrow evening your house will burn! It will burn, because you have got the ability and the power to set his house on fire!

That's the only way a prophecy can get true. Simply.

Or you could've seen it 'looking' into the future. That's a possibility.

Proplog, if you don't believe in God but still like
prophecy drop this silly stuff about Russia and get into
studying Silva Mind control or 'Huna'. That way, you develop
    your own prophetic sense (maybe).

    It keeps life interesting
