I read your thread(s) regarding the... ummmmm... "unsavory" posts that appear here from time to time. While I don't share some's, er, "taste" for such things, I must say that I do find your statement regarding "punishing" and "banning" folks, well, curious, if not actually funny. I guess seeing a thread asking for someone to be, well, "shunned," if not outright "disfellowshipped" (which is what you're suggesting)... on a forum where most participants are disfellowshipped (or disassociated, often to avoid disfellowshipping)... seems, to me, to be a bit, well, hypocritical, wouldn't you agree? I mean, wouldn't the best thing to do, if you are offended, besides leaving the offending thread, be to simply notify a moderator and then let them do their job? True, it may take time, but that should only be a problem if you keep returning to the offending thread.
If you're worried that someone might not come here because they inadvertently open such a thread, I would say do not worry yourself about it too much. Most will probably open another thread or two and realize the offending one is a fluke. Or... they'll move on. Which, I have to say, if their consciences are that... ummmm... "tender"... they probably should do so anyway. Because it can get pretty... ummmmm... candid... in this place from time to time.
But it IS place where certain, ummmm... perhaps unsavory... topics are discussed... both candidly AND in jest. Having come from environments where almost ANY subject (other than WTBTS-created, -indoctrinated, -manufactured, -fabricated propoganda) was, well, virtually forbidden, you're gonna come across a LOT of pent-up... ummmm... "stuff." In the most loving way I can, I would say to you... deal with it. Learn to deal with it.
What, though, if you're worried about what God and/or Christ would think? You must remember: the Son of God hung out and ate with sinners and tax collectors. Do you REALLY think the only "conversation" he heard while doing so was, "the Law says this" or "the Law says that"? Dear one, that was the scribes and Pharisees ("Teacher, according to the Law..." Teacher, Moses said..." etc.). You are among sinners and "tax collectors," dear one (well, you also were if/when you were among the WTBTS, too, but they would NEVER admit that). But here, people at least try to be REAL... and honest... even if such honesty is, at times, unsavory.
So, I ask you: give Simon a break. And give him the benefit of the doubt. And if your eyes and ears are really that tender... ask the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, to send you some of His holy spirit, through Christ, to make YOUR forehead as hard as flint. Because if you EVER were to become a slave of that One... you're certainly gonna need it. Because you won't be "sent" to be among people who are "above" such things. Those people don't need a savior - because they are already "righteous"... aren't they?
