I remember a talk at a District assembly back in the late 70's where they were outlining all that was wrong with the world (as usual) naturally "today's music" was to blame for much of it. At the top of the speakers list was "Me and Mrs. Jones"... and with all the scornfullness he could muster, he read the verse "Me and MRS Jones....we've got a THIIIING goin on." Next on his list was "Bad Girls...toot-toot...beep-beep, talkin bout' Bad Girls toot-toot-beep-beep" It sounded so ridiulos to hear him reading out the lyrics this way that people were snickering.
So we renamed the song "Me and sista' Jones" and changed the lyrics
We both know that-it's-wrong....but we love-this-song...can't let- it-go-nowww
