10,000 Witnesses and counting have an Iphone?? The shame!! How could they spend that much money, on a luxury. That money should be going to the society.

Now if it would include a GPS system to track where exactly they are at any given moment,

that would be cool, even the big wigs in Brooklyn could keep track where their members are at all times.

Believe it or not, almost exactly the point our CO made in his last visit, in the meeting with pioneers. The only twist was that he thought it was terrible that pioneers were working too much in order to be able to afford such needless luxuries. If they didn't need so much money, they'd work less and have more time for field service.

I've heard this a couple of times now. It starts with the pioneers and then it trickles down to the R&F. Impress on the pioneers (and maybe the elders and MSs) the needlessness of such an item and it eventually gets reported to the rest and many of them are stupid, well, let's say indocrinated, enough to think that if they're counseling appointed members to not own them, then they shouldn't either. Eventually it becomes an unwritten rule and the next thing you know, disgruntled people are posting on the Internet that JWs forbid their members from owning Iphones.

Of course we know they're not. I know several dubs with Iphones, Droids or Blackberrys. They use them in their work...or their company provides them.

What the real problem is, is not cost, it's the resources available on them. You've got the web at your fingertips on your phone. No more having to make a mental note to look up something on the Internet when you get home... now you can look it up instantly.

The WTS is scared to death of the infromation highway but it's a lost cause. The world has changed in the last few years and the WTS didn't see it coming nor do they have any kind of way to keep their followers from being influenced by it.

What, so dubs can't count to 10hrs without using technology anymore? God gave you the technology; they're called your fingers!

I am not really a vengeful person by nature, but the iPhone applications out there look horrible.

It would almost be worth it to create something, let it get accepted, then also release an "Apostate Tracker" where you could track all the failed prophecies and new-new light.

It would be great as witnesses start to realize the tool they love was built by an apostate.

    ...

Hell I wonder how many witnesses would download the Apostate Tracker app just to feel superior?
