Hopefully our Canadians will do good tonight. They did awesome the last time.
I'm a bit upset over the reporting on the olympics here. The media seems to be medal hungry, but I don't see it that way at all. They expect Canada to do just awesome after injecting money one time only so they can shine at the olympics. They need to do a lot more for a lot longer before seeing better results.
Canada's doing just fine. And besides - how in the hell are we supposed to compete with some of these people. They're so talented!

Canada has been sorely remiss over decades in the support given to their athletes. Finally, in the past few years things have improved but as you say, it'll take a lot longer than that to really start to see results. My worry is that since the 'own the podium' has somewhat failed, all of the wonderful support will dwindle and we'll be back a square one. So much pressure for these kids!

The Russians used to own every category of figure skating - the judges couldn't get enough of them, it was a great big lick fest. It's nice to see that it's changed a bit. The US team were really good, but GO Canada!
My new sweatshirt is very comfy and looks pretty snazzy (for a sweatshirt that is). I've become all patriotic lately, it's downright weird!!
