That made me a little sick because I know there was a time I would have lapped it up and talked about it all the way home from the convention.
I hate how they count on the ignorance of the rank and file when interpreting scripture.
One of my pet gripes is with the interpretation of "as a witness to all the nations," as meaning that they don't need to witness to all people but rather just in all geographic areas in order to fulfill this scripture. This is wrong. When the Bible was written, nation-states as they presently function in the world didn't even exist. More importantly, the colloquial use of the term "nation" to mean "nation-state" with it's geographic borders and governments wasn't even what the word "nation" meant until recently, historically speaking. A "nation" meant (and still means) a group of people of the same ethnic family, usually speaking the same language.
So just because there are a handful of dubs in India doesn't mean they've witnessed to 1652 ethnic language groups there.
I'm in a particularly cynical and grumpy mood today. My wife got love-bombed yesterday and is almost ready to go back now. Ugh.
The Governing Body is forced to take this stance.
The effectiveness of the so-called "preaching" work (actually distribution of stale ideas and recycled mistakes) has been demonstrated to be embarassing.
What else can they say?
They can't persuade people to accept their silly cartoon theology for very long in an era of the Internet where too much proof is availabe to refute their corrupt history.
They don't love humanity. They have a death wish. The sooner Armageddon comes (and proves them right and everybody wrong) the sooner the party can start!
It is like having a sick grandfather with lots of money. They can't wait for him to hurry up and die so they can inherit.
Not one person in a hundred can tell specifics of Watchtower belief. It hasn't been much of a preaching work in explaining anything.
It is illusory.
The Governing Body is bankrupt of ideas. There hasn't been anything new for years. It is all backtracking and double-dealing.
They patch the holes in the dam as it springs leaks.
What a depressing religion it has become.
All they need now is a Jim Jones to take over and---it's KOOL AID time!
I have heard this stated before but not quite so bluntly. Unfortunately as has been said some members of the R&F will see this as validation of their efforts in the ministry.
Now the blinkers are off you see how ridiculous this all is Muslims and others really do not need to hear the message since they are already part of a condemned nation, Christs enemies. Going on the ministry is to fulfill the obligation to make a sacrifice of praise. This being so there is no need to be effective since I am merely working out my own salvation not theirs.

JW's are changing before our eyes.
In decades past, you couldn't be a CO or a missionary unless you helped bring at least one person to the point of baptism. It used to be that the preaching work WAS about saving lives.
Now, it has taken the place of giving a cow to your local Levitical priest to sacrifice to Jehovah.
As already alluded to, there is a VERY pragmatic reason for the GB to frame the preaching work this way; its because the door to door work is an activity with diminishing returns.
So now they must condition their flock to view preaching as a way to show Jehovah how much they care. And you know how Jehovah shows he cares? He doesn't bring Armageddon so that you can REALLY show how much you care.
Because it at least made a little sense that Armageddon was being delayed so that some "right hearted"™ ones could respond to the preaching.
So it seems pretty clear that fewer and fewer are responding, and
It seems pretty clear that JW's have covered the entire earth with their witness, so long as you don't count a couple billion Chinese and Muslim's on two continents, and
It's just about time for Armageddon, except
Jehovah now wants to see how much you REALLY care and love him, by preaching to people who have already made up their minds.
This is real, unadulterated groping in the dark by the GB.

You will notice them by their flashing-lit book bags', faces with scowls, and large fingers pointed at 'professed JW's' "Get him! Get him!"
Encouragement: There are billions and billions of innocent people to destroy, but there are also millions of Angels. Don't delay in the start of this EXCITING, once in a lifetime adventure of mass killing and unprecendented destruction. Every second counts! Those who delay may miss out!

Something else about preaching and how we are still awaiting Armageddon...
If Jehovah really cared about me, he would have started Armageddon before apostates got to me. But he didn't. He strung me along.
Or the other alternative of course, is that Jehovah, like the Governing Body, is a total sham. I bet that is the correct answer....
Not much new and coincides with this written statement in the WT:

(Matt. 24:14) We can rest assured that God will see that the preaching work is done to his satisfaction. After that "the end" comes.
Then those who correspond with "goats," whether in China or elsewhere, will be pronounced "cursed" and will not be permitted to survive that "end" into God’s new order of things. The WTS shows a whole community would be destroyed because of their rulers, and this is regardless of the poor people that have no rights in their community. The GB have no problem just dismissing the value of people's lives.
I think since the WTS sees their growth leveling off, slowing. When they have increase, the end is soon. When it slows, or decreases, the end is soon. No matter. They just care about their headquarters, their own position. They just keep 'whipping' their slaves to keep supporting them.
