BTS - your 3rd explanation of the diverging graph is reliant in part on the Scafetta methodology.

It turns out that Scafetta refuses to release the code he used to perform his modelling on request by other climate scientists who couldn't replicate his results.

Did you know that? Do you see a breakdown in the basic science?

    Read more about it here:

In any case it seems to be a distraction from the observable facts that global warming is happening despite the current solar minimum.

In an abrupt change of heart

There is no change of heart. There are many factors. It is obviously not AGW. Some of it is based on measurement artifacts, some on natural processes. There is obviously a great deal of disagreement on the issue.

The work of surfacestations.org is useful in clarifying one point - microsite influence has imparted little to no warming bias in the U.S. temperature record.

Before you jump to the next denier myth to explain the divergence perhaps you would be so kind as to answer my question on the work of Abdussamatov which you seem to have abandoned rather carelessly.

None of this is myth. It is science.

I did not know this. Do you think it is all a big scam?

    SBF - hello.

Even if climate change is true as commonly presented by the establishement, I think the resource/energy crisis is more of a big deal for those of us alive at the moment.

I think the energy crisis and the climate crisis are pretty much intertwined.

    Question:

Exactly why are we burning the ground beneath our feet, and simultaneously destroying our environment, for energy?

How about a light heart debunking of global warming by a hillbilly bible thumpin christian:

There is no change of heart.

Sorry BTS - when you pasted a NatGeo link which annulled the very point you were trying to make and then ignored my followup question and then pasted another completely different explanation I thought you had maybe changed your mind - my mistake.

Let me ask you one more time before we move on:

Do you share his (Abdussamatov) views on the denial of CO2 as playing the major role in earth's climate?

Do you think it is all a big scam?

    What are you referring to?

Another question you point-blank refuse to answer for some reason, is whether you believe that the entire climate science field is a big scam?

Scafetta and Wilson findings coincide with those of Dr Nahle’s in Amplitude of Solar Irradiance and Change of Temperature:

“Last week, Nicola Scafetta and Richard C. Wilson published a peer reviewed paper in which they revealed a considerable Total Solar Irradiance (TSI) increase of 0.033 % per decade between the solar activity minima of 1986 and 1996, which is comparable to the 0.037 % found in the ACRIM composite. The data gathered by satellites, which were reported by Scafetta and Wilson, coincide with my theory of a correlation between the Amplitude of TSI and the Change of the Earth’s Tropospheric Temperature until 1998. In my article “Heat Stored by Greenhouse Gases”, I concluded that the fluctuation of the TSI of the last 300 years had been 1.25 W/m^2, causing a change of the Earth’s temperature of 0.56 °C, which is the maximum averaged change in tropospheric temperature achieved in the 1990s (the average of change of temperature in 1998 was 0.51 °C). The correlation resides in the total change since 1610 AD, which I had calculated was 1.25 W/m^2. The new findings fix the change at 1.32 W/m^2 which would produce a change of temperature of 0.594 °C, while the change I had calculated would produce a change of temperature of 0.56 °C. Nonetheless, both calculations of the changes of temperature based on the fluctuation of the TSI coincide with the natural change observed in 1998 (0.52°C) and with the total natural oscillation of temperature of -3 °C to 3 °C in the Holocene Period.”
