Interesting thread! I didn't know AlanF had so many skirmishes with the truth! I was thinking..'have I missed something' because I have not had the slightest inclination to return!

Anyone know if 'Focus' has a JW background?

Interesting, indeed, to know everyone's background.

Baptised: 1965, too young, but all my friends were doing it...peer pressure.

Pioneered: off and on through the 80's as my kids were growing up.

Husband made an MS: at ripe age of 40. Never much of an achiever, I had to write all of his talks.

Decided marriage and religion had to go: in 1997. Stayed in long enough to get elder daughter married in Kingdom Hall as was her wish. Soon after stopped attending, obtained divorce from deadbeat, worthless, emotionally abusive husband in 1999. Found internet early 2000 and finally decided I wasn't going to die at Armageddon.

Never DA'd or DF'd. Recently attended son-in-law's first public talk. No reprocussions from that, so far.

    And by the way:

I have a strong suspicion about Focus, but he has not confirmed nor denied it.

    Winks,

    I was a 4th generation Dub.
Born in February 1959 (almost born in Japan, folks were missionaries there).

Baptized on July 4th, 1974 at 15 years old.
MS in 1981 at 21 years old.
    Elder in 1992.
    Resigned in 1999.

Last time in a KH Memorial 1999. Never going back.
Had talks on the District Convention last 3 years of being an elder.
Seperated from and divorced my alcoholic wife in 1999.
    DF'd in August 1999. I spent 40 years as a Dub.
Married Tracy (Think41Self) in December 1999.

    Been happy ever since.

Now have plans to get my degrees and really live life to the full as well as give back to the world.
