I seem to recall that Facebook was a recent discussion and came across this article, "10 Privacy Settings Every Facebook User Should Know" located here: http://www.allfacebook.com/2009/02/facebook-privacy/

Good information that might be of use.

    Facebook Privacy?

    Sounds like an oxymoron. Thanks.

Can somebody explain to me how in the hell facebook is private?

If you are on facebook, your life is completely blathered all over the net - not just for dubs but for future employers, ex lovers, aliens and elvis if you believe such.

shamus, you just do the things in the article, don't post photos of yourself (ok if you're a monkey though), and don't say anything that would reveal your identity, where you work, describe your home, etc. In fact I always change inconsequential details about stories I post anywhere on the net, as an extra precaution.

Shamus, your facebook profile can be completely private if you so desire (if you only allow friends to see it, for example). People you aren't friends with won't see anything.

Facebook allows surprisingly granular control with its privacy settings.

I've heard the term used before - facebook fag. Seeing as I am a homosexual, I guess I can use the word fag.

Cest'la'vie. I never got into it.
