Organ Transplants Bad->Good / Blood Transfusions Bad->Good ?

Was anyone ever disfellowshipped for having an organ transplant?
An inside source told me there is only one judicial case on record.

Someone from another board told me that in some places in Europe, Child Welfare steps in when a child needs a transfusion and overrides the parent's wishes in court so that they can give the child a transfusion. I wish this was also possible here in the U.S. Anyone know of any cases where it has been done this way in the States?
