I have a vertical hood piercing (thought about it for a year and took the plunge when I found out the truth about the Watchtower Society)and am planning on getting a tattoo on my lower back. My husband is getting something similar on his upper back, a griffin or dragon.

I have 8 tats and used to have a pierced ear, the Army kinda frowns on male piercing (not allowed to wear ear rings or body peircings on post even when off duty). My wife has two tats, one on her breast, the other on her tail bone. She's threatened to get her nips pierced, I'm all for it.
