I find the example of the guy with the porn popping up on his "laptop" hysterical. I swear that is what the society would like all JWs to believe that if they even open their computer the porn will come pouring in randomly and without invitation.

I find it just amazing that I have an online business and easily visit over 200 websites a month and have never had porn pop up on my latop or desktop. Why, because I don't visit those sites in the first place.

It is a good thing I don't attend anymore because I would be that person talking quite loudly to all around me to hear and mentioning quite clearly that the internet doesn't work that way and he has obviously been a porn site visitor previous to this and NOW he is getting worried about it? Then maybe for additional effect I could stand up, point my finger and scream ADULTERER!!!

I'm convinced they redo the same dramatizations over and over and over again. I would have fallen asleep.

Porn doesn't pop up unexpectedly on your PC unless you've downloaded something really stupid, or failed to install anti-virus software. Given that 90% of the dubs can't figure out how to operate their computers properly, this scenario could very well happen.

Under the part "To Fight Temptation," a little dramatization of a young married man doing some work on his laptop. He is tapping away when he suddenly slams his laptop shut. He then talks to himself for a few minutes about how shocking it was that a piece of pornography popped up. Then he admits that the model looks good. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to peek just for a few minutes. How really it doesn't say in the bible to not view pornography specifically. Then he asks himself, "what am I doing?!" He then reasons how pornography is not wholesome, and how it does say that if a man looks at a woman with desire, he has already committed adultery with her and how that would be detrimental to his marriage. Blah blah blah. Finally he concludes that he will pray to Jehovah for help in fighting the temptation.

Well I am sure the mothers & fathers of young children and impressionable youths are going to appreciate that subject!

Did they have a demonstration about how wonderful it was to miss out on their HS graduations (they generally still allow those ceremonies, don't they??) so they can attend the assembly? I graduated on a June 8. This is a HUGE graduation weekend for High Schools across the US. I can't believe they have assemblies right before school lets out (finals for many) and graduations! What a bunch of oafs!!

Which would be assuming that any of these men give a thought to the rest of their communities schedules or needs. Day long assemblies for the entire family in the hot sun! WHAT was I thinking?? They might actually have working vending machines too!

I was mortified because thanks to the GB may 2 ( young- but old enough to use the internet)kids want to know what porn is and why is it on the computer. I am actually really pissed off right now!

In 1963 Clyde quit his job so he could attend a district assembly. There were plenty of jobs in those days so he knew he could get a new one. Also he didn't have a wife or kids to support at the time. Does the GB have no idea what it costs to support a family for just the basics?
