In the hall I used to attend I found alot of people had 'demon' stories, did you know anyone like this or have any run-ins yourself? I personally think they were zealot delusions. Nevermind I just did a search a found a whole bunch of stories.

I can tell you about some I experienced and some I heard about from some of the jw's I attended with.

One that I remember vividly was being suffocated in my sleep. Feeling held down and smothered. I could see no one, and I was powerless to rise, or breathe or to even whimper for help. Used to happen pretty frequently. Now that I look back on this I doubt it was a demon at all. I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea about ten years ago, so I figure that as a child waking from sleep and feeling smothered was sleep apnea that the elders were trying to use to scare my family into being more spiritual and going out into the service.......

I have heard so many of those Dark Ages type stories in the Kingdumb Hell. Much of it comes from the Watchtower littera-trash itself. They tell of people that get involved with fornication, drug use, the Ouija board or the occult, or with heavy metal music and having the demons attack them. Then I hear about things like the Smurfs, Tupperware, second hand merchandise, and being around scenes like a fire as being ways of attracting the demons.

Of course, none of it is verifiable. There is no reference where one could check to see for sure a demon attack was actually happening. And, if one actually did run into the victim, they would be programmed to account for it as if it were a demon attack.

Science comes to the rescue again. Most of what they pass as demon attacks happens to be from one's right brain. I have had occasional symptoms that, had I not been scientifically inclined or studied books from the occult, could have been taken for demon attacks. Invariably, these happened immediately preceding sleep, and involved waking up just before going off to sleep (and it has happened at the Kingdumb Hell, right in the middle of a boasting session). Knowing what it is (it is actually thinking becoming disjointed and trending toward dreaming), I was not afraid in any way.

And there are other explanations. Thermal expansion is common. The Tupperware possession can be explained simply: Put cold drink in the pitcher, seal it tightly (with the air temperature at about 2 C/35 F). Take pitcher out, let it warm up to about 18 C/65 F. That will increase the air pressure inside pitcher, especially if there is a storm going. (Lower barometric pressure helps here.) Lid will start bulging, and could pop open (if properly sealed). This will not work if the pitcher was warm when filled and sealed, or if there is a leak. It will also not work well if the barometric pressure is very high.

Thermal expansion is also responsible for a lot of spooky noises that are taken for demons. Those creaks and pops are caused by materials expanding at different rates or by the exterior of the house being colder or warmer than the interior, and works best when it is rapidly getting colder or warmer. I wonder how many witlesses run terrified of the demons when these things happen (I hope the day they try and carry me to their houses, the temperature is rapidly changing and I can keep calling on Satan and there is a lot of thermal expansion noises that I can use to scare the sxxx out of them with.

The demons attacked me for a full six months before I was married.

I used to experience these really vivid dreams. They weren't at all unpleasant but I remember waking up with my heart just pounding and finding this really freaky 'plasma'
    of some sort.

After I was married, this demon gave up on me I guess coz I've had no problems since.

    Welcome Mahler....

Look forward to hearing more about your own experiences.

I personally don't have any demon stories, knew several people from my old hall that claimed to, tho.

Unless a spirit appears before you or actually touches you, why even imagine it is there?

Chill and ponder what it's likely to be rather than what it might be thats imaginary!

Ah, the "dreaded" Nocturnal Ectoplasm Emmission!

"I don't know, Mom! I think it's ectoplasm - I'm being attacked at night by the ghosts of pornstars past! Pray with me!"

The first time my jw ex-husband was committed to a mental hospital by force, he swore up and down that demons were in his room.
