My parents set up a living trust for their estate. My father passed away 4 years ago and his half is now locked. My mother watches over his portion which is equally divided between the three kids. My two siblings however are less than honorable. The deception and outright greed they display drove my Mother to disinherit them. My older sis hasn't called my Mom in 3 years. She live 6 blocks away. I live next door and I watch over Mom. I don't do it for the "inheritance". She needs help and I am there. These things can get really weird. I have handled several estates for financing and it's amazing what the children will do when money is involved.
