    @Bernadette

Sorry you're right.. I just couldn't resist the urge to reply :)

It was a sort of mock misquote :)

that's alright deus - you are forgiven.

Seriously though what did Jehovah say about himself -" I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be" - imo that's kinda prophetic of the whole atheistic scientific method don't you think?

    *Falling from his chair laughing*

That is by far the funniest interpretation of Ex 3:14 I've ever heard :)

You surpass Aquinas and Eckhart :)

    Regards,

    Deus

P.S 'I shall prove to be' is a horrific NWT translation of the Hebrew... so Jehovah was already proving to be what he would be proving to be by directing the NWT commitee to translate 'I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be'... ehh.. confused

    Bern,

-" I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be" -

Oh you mockers of Jehovah!! The almighty is ready to burst forth with all his fury and then he shall prove to be "Mighty Slayer" "Wonderful War Conseller" and "Prince of Peace" He will destroy all worldy government and setup his own dictatorship, where all will worship Him alone, with no more false Gods. At that time all mockers will perish.

It shall prove not to be what 'I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be' says it shall prove to be ^^

I cannot claim to be gnostic, http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Gnosis

Though it would be wonderful to have that ''knowledge'' I think.

If anyone is interested in learning more about what Ophites believe:

I think the Yhwh I find most interesting is also the most anti-humanist (in the philosophical sense)...

Yhwh of Babel who limits mankind's "united" achievements by sowing difference and ambiguity in language. Very clever. Very devilish in the etymological sense of diabolos.

Yhwh of Job who bluntly tells man he and his "rights" are the least of His worries. That he's more interested in stars and clouds and deserts and wildlife.

Also the older "Baal-like" Yhwh who rides the clouds and speaks in thunder and makes mountains melt.

In a humanity-saturated world we'll be craving after that kind of god.

    Also sprach Narkissos.
