No, I have seen them on this forum. Discursive strategies work both ways. I am sure you can think of more phrases commonly used on this forum which serve to close down debate and confirm the consensus rather than open up debate.

Reality: You can only prove yourself a sinner without Christ.
Doing what is pleasing to Jehovah.
Reality: The only thing that is pleasing to Him is accepting his Son.
The WT uses a lot of works based phraseology to hide the fact that they aren't Christian.

I have been reading Wayne Dyer's book Excuses Begone. It's helping me alot to leave the org. You can leave the org physically but mentally might be harder. It's a great book. One I would recommend to witnesses. I am exploring things now and trying to find out who I am since leaving. IT has been a pleasure. No more WT controlling words for me. Dyer says to get rid of them and replace them with positive words for yourself.
