And think of it this way, Proplog-

Did any super-miracle happen to get the word into say - Red China, Islam, Russia, etc. during the heyday? Not at all. They just picked up the easy fruit where they could of dis-established people here in the US, Free Europe, Mexico, and a few selected 3rd world countries. I didn't see any C.T.Russell types rise up in any of the hard places to preach within...if it had, then that would have been impressive. But it did not, and now they are in a stalemate with their own past teachings. And proclaiming the message work to be over with, to hear their latest rantings.

I don't see that as miraculous evidence of God's spirit. Plenty of other cults rose up in the US, (because of our tradition of religious tolerance), got an initial big growth due to a sacharin-promise message, and then went for all the money to be possibly made.

That's all the WTS ever was.

    James:

The Falun Gong (probably spelled wrong) have been a significant movement in China and other parts of Asia. They have pacifists teachings and number close to 100 million members. Maybe that's God's Work.

Bahais emerged in another market where JW's haven't been sucessful - Moslem World They too see themselves as above the divisions of this world.

Maybe they will converge with JW's? NOT! (sorry for the 1980's cynical structure)

    The Listener:

The Pioneer book and other "exclusive" publications are an irritation. When you bring this up those who have these say "there's really nothing in them that you can't find in other publications". This is all the more reason why they shouldn't be controlled publications.

Training schools and seminars should be available to anyone who wants to sign up. Such activities would generate skills and along with improved skills comes a desire to apply them.

But apparently Jehovah likes an organization that plays these games instead of getting the job done.

One wonders how serious they are about their message when one ponders how they handled their recent KN#37 Worldwide Message-False Religion tract: World population-6 Billion. Yet they print enough tracts for each publisher to hand out 50. So even if they printed extra so that pubs could distribute say 100, that means 600 million tracts for 6 BILLION people. Serious? I doubt it.
