I joined the cult when I was an adult, as did my mom. I've been out for 3 years - she's still in. The rest of my family had enough common sense to stay away from it.

Two of my great-grandmothers became Bible Students in the 1880s, while living in the Maritime provinces.

My youngest sibling is a fourth-generation Jehovah's Witness; there are fifth-generation Witnesses among my family.

It is certainly humbling to know that, for the most part, even after a century and a quarter of revisionism, your own genetic line seems incapable of grasping the central intellectual dishonesty of this Armageddon Club.

3rd; both sets of grandparents - approx. 1943 and 1953. One granddad had strong socialist sympathies, so probably fell for Rutherfraud's ramblings; the other one lived on the German border so got himself caught up on the opposite side and paid for it. They all had their reasons, were victims of their day. They longed for a better world. Besides, had they not, I would not be around now.
