Belief in God is our intrinsic and permanent nature, shows new findings!
by abiather inthere are many theories about the origin of belief in god, such as (1) ancient illiterate people feared forces of nature, which were then personified as gods and worshipped for protection.
(2) invention of agriculture and food surplus led to a new way of life, which included culture and religion..
yet such views are strongly being challenged today by various developments in our times.

Being poor in China, what's it like?
by fulltimestudent inthese images are from chinese media.. .
like kids everywhere these children of migrant workers in dongguan (near shenzhen) like to play.
when farm workers leave their villages to work in the huge chinese construction/factory industries they are faced with a decision - leave their kids with relatives (usually grand-parents) in the village or take them with them, to face the uncertainties of city life.. this photograph was taken by zhan youbing, a 41 year old photographer, who for the past nine years has focused his camera on the lives of migrant workers.

If the GB were really interested in the preaching work.....
by pontoon in......they should be out there where the "need is great" spearheading the work.
remember now, the preaching work belongs to the annointed, other sheep are just helpers.
the gb especially should be out there doing it.

No Natural Affection
by Sail Away indo you remember how the wt society likes to quote the scriptures that say "the love of the greater number will cool off" in "the last days" and men will have "no natural affection"?
they applied this to "worldly people".
even before my exit i, used to think that scripture applied to members of the "christian congregation" too.. i haven't written to my jw mil in about a year and a half.
