I was just cruising another XJW website, and they had this posted.

The son committed suicide after being df'd........it's just so sad they can't get what they are doing to people.

I'm sure the Borg leaders were "Not Pleased" with this book that puts their main weapon (shunning) in such a negative light. I wonder if this elder is now an ex-elder?

Here was a discussion a couple months back about this book: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/149558/1.ashx

    Deeply disturbing to me.

Like a father who had his son executed by the Nazi's, encouraging everyone to get back inside the cantina wire quickly.

I feel for this man's loss. I can't imagine his pain.

This really ticks me off. Why should anyone have to write a book about how to get reinstated fast?? (Translation: How to play the GB's game,) It is discusting! Aside from the fact that disfellowshipping is way overused, and carried out to extremes - reinstatement should occur with the least sign of repenence. The father of the prodigal son, RAN out to meet him, with a coat and ring identifying the boy as an heir the moment he caught sight of him approaching. There was none of the non-sence posturing that the WTS requires for reinstatement - of which I suspect this book is chuck full!

    Agree totally MMae

Are there any jw suicide statistics resulting from df'g?

It's sick that this man blames his son's death on the fact that he wasn't able to get himself reinstated quickly enough, rather than blaming the heartless bastards who dish out these punishments without a care about the peoples lives their ruining.

How refreshing it is to see the Holy Spirit at work. Wouldn't you agree that this book explaining the correct hoops to jump through is a loving provision from our Creator?

    Good grief!

About suicide statistics, I wouldn't know to to find them. There have been countless stories posted about people killing themselves after being disfellowshipped. It would be interesting to know just how many have.

Wow. Profiting from son's suicide and encouraging others to continue to dance. Deeply disturbing.

Would this Anthony Crispin be the same Bro Crispin who was on the judicial committee disfellowshipping Jim Rizoli back in the 90's?
