I used to be able to say the term "the truth" with no issue. That was whether I was speaking to JW's or not. Now all I can say is the "witnesses"(catching myself before saying 'witlesses'). And now if I ever even com close, I get as far as "the tr...the witnesses".
Anyone else can't bear to utter those hideously false words?

It wasn't that long after I left that I simply HATED to hear it referred to as the "truth".
The reason being, not just that it simply isn't, in any way, but mainly because this was one of the main "Thought Control" triggers that the WT used to hoodwink us, and to keep us trapped inside.
I've been surprised by how many XJWs still say, "I was in the truth..." x years.
It shows how effective the lingo repetition techniques can be.
Amazes me too Ding, they at least could make the effort and say "I was in the DECEPTION for X years"
How on earth can anyone who knows TTATT use the expression Troof about anything to do with the JW/WT set up ?

They can't come up with anything else but to nock other's beliefs because there's is no good.
For every finger they point they have four pointing back at themselves.
"the Truth" that hides "the Lie" couldn't have come up with one better myself.
