What does WT,org teach about the Faithul and Discreet Slave?

Almost nothing- the only reference of any value I could find when seaching that topic is this-

"The faithful and discreet slave" has published information to help handle the spiritual and emotional hurt caused by child abuse. (Matthew 24:45-47)

It appears that the faithful slave class has disappeared--- I wonder if the JWs have noticed this?

I think most JWs think the "faithful and discreet slave" is the organization itself.

What does a JW Bible study need to know about the F&DS before they get baptized? Well nothing outside of one scripture, according to the only question the elders ask about them from the Organized book-

-12. How can you identify "the faithful and discreet
slave" today?
Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his
master appointed over his domestics, to give them their
food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master
on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to you, He will
appoint him over all his belongings.-Matt. 24:45-47

In the last Hall I attened it was a sweat old 90 something lady who Partook and loved Hippies, thought they were the best people.

It's interesting to me that the WT study book for new JW converts has no explantion of who the F&DS are either. JWs can get baptised without any understanding of how the GB claims to have spiritual authority over the JWs. Yet, if you later disagree with that so-called divine authority over your life, they can DF you and destroy your family. Devious , isn't it?

moshe- Its cruel and should be a point in any Court case against the Society over the fallout that occurs with a Disfellowshipping. Some people lose inheritence and jobs, marriages etc. over getting DF'd. If the Society started to have to pay $$ for each exist maybe they would let us go without all of the trauma.

Watchtower April 15th 2011 has some interesting points on the FDS.

IF you can believe that then you will believe anything!!

This is pure BS- the WT has admitted in the past that there is no spiritual process at work in selecting elders- they claim that the process they use is Bible backed, but they admitted that the results are not guaranteed. They ask many personal questions of elder candidates beforehand-- so why?, if Jehoobah is overseeing the process bad eggs couldn't get in, even if they lied.

It seems to me that a new crop of young guys are working in the writing department who have no personal knowledge of anything written more than 20 years agao. They are just shooting from the hip on these articles.
