    Romans 10:9 (New International Version)

9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Ever hear a JW utter this statement?

Ever seen a JW live like Jesus their Lord?

Here's a couple of verses on this theme

    Matthew 10:32-33 (New International Version)

32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

2 Peter 2:1 (New International Version)

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

    Blessings,

    Stephen

NEVER! If JW do, they will be taken to the back room.

    Never!

I mentioned it once; I was given a warning look by another JW.

    Good topic, Chalam.

My wife often says, "You need more than Jesus. I don't understand how so many people can say, 'Thank you Jesus,' while never acknowledging the Father. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, well I am sorry, but these people need more than Jesus."

My reply, "The Bible says if you have the Son, you have the Father also." (1 John 2:23)

1 John 5:18 -21 We know that none of the God-begotten makes a practice of sin—fatal sin. The God-begotten are also the God-protected. The Evil One can't lay a hand on them. We know that we are held firm by God; it's only the people of the world who continue in the grip of the Evil One. And we know that the Son of God came so we could recognize and understand the truth of God—what a gift!—and we are living in the Truth itself, in God's Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus is both True God and Real Life. Dear children, be on guard against all clever facsimiles. MSG

    Amen and amen!

I think that the JW's have gotten inbackwards, you can have God with Jesus, they are one, you CAN'T have God WITHOUT Jesus ( if you are a Christian).

To say that "Jesus is not enough" or you need "more" than Jesus shows complete lack of biblical (NT) understanding.

All that Jesus does he does because the Father gave him it to do and he does it exactly like the Father, NOTHING is done without Jesus for ALL is doen THROUGH Jesus.

There is only ONE PATH to God if you are a christian and that is through Jesus, period.

In case it wasn't clear, I was joking, implying that is something a witness would say in reaction to this discussion.
(I am agnostic on the issue of Jesus being A or The Lord.)

I highlight in the WT Comments how often the WTS fails to mention Jesus and if they do only in a nonpersonal way and rarely. Occasionally an article seems to be one that focuses on Jesus but in the end fails to develop a close relationship with him. Before 1935 the publications mention Jesus often, as a loving older brother to the anointed, as a king they will rule with closely for 1,000 years. As each year beyond 1935 advances, the WTS mentions Jesus less and less and certainly does not teach the "other sheep" to form a close relationship with Jesus as an older brother and co-ruler.
