Is Jehova's Trumpet for real?
by StarTrekAngel inbecause regardless of having seen a lot of bad things, if true, some of the things i read there have reached new thresholds of bs.
who are these people?
i posted some comments there because i was sincerely confused as to the nature of their article.. http://jehovahstrumpet.com/brother-survives-nazi-persecution-disfellowshiped-for-smoking/.

Sorry.. my principles.. I just can't take satire and then get more satire when asked if it is satire. This is too serious for those affected by it. -

I really need to ask. Because regardless of having seen a lot of bad things, if true, some of the things I read there have reached new thresholds of BS. Who are these people? I posted some comments there because I was sincerely confused as to the nature of their article.

Does anyone have any information on lawsuits in regards to JW's victimizing the mentally ill?
by lme123 ini am a former jw, 14 years removed.
i moved out of state away from my jw family for 10 years, and currently moved back to my home town 2 years ago.
it was a great healing process for me, especially being away from all of the confusing and controversial influences i was raised with.

I was just about to start a thread to ask something similar. I just finished reading an article on Jehova's Trumpet that has left me in shock. I am actually questioning and I need to ask if that site is for real. Because I can simply not believe what I read there. -

When a Witness claim the uniqueness of Bible and its accurate prophecies!
by abiather inwith the bulletin of atomic scientists moving its iconic doomsday clock up 2 minutes on 23.01.2015 (which means we are just three minutes closer to midnight in comparison to 17 minutes to midnight in 1991), and rapturewatch.net/timelines.htm predicting the end of the world as early as 2017, subject of last days is getting heated up again..
next time you have a witness boasts about the uniqueness of biblical propheciesespecially about last days, you can point the following photographic description of our times found in srimad bhagavatam, one of the ancient scriptures written even before the bible:.
1) religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, physical strength and memory will all diminish day by day because of the powerful influence of the age of kali (age of unrigteousness).12.2.1.

If you have studied with the witnesses, specially one book where they attempt to explain a lot of science (can't remember its name). In that book, I remember they actually question wether this writings were original to the ancient civilization that wrote them, or their own explanation of the things they saw and witnessed among the people of God. They then proceed to question the accuracy of carbon dating, so to put in question wether some of this writings are older or younger than the bible writings. -

GB says, "Our way of worship will soon be altered."
by Separation of Powers inmy mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.
i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.
we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

Sounds far fetched but like the GB would say... "with God all things are possible"

Interesting.. I guess we would have to see if other COs have a similar message. Our visit is coming up soon. I'll keep an eye out. -

The hypocrisy Jesus had towards the pharisees and sadducees
by adjusted knowledge init is no wonder the jewish leaders had ridiculous rules concerning the sabbath.
the following scripture alone should instill fear of those forsaking the sabbath.. (numbers 15:32-36)--"now while the sons of israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.
33and those who found him gathering wood brought him to moses and aaron, and to all the congregation; 34and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

Not necessarily. While there are some that question the authenticity of the bible or the motives of God, your would have to bring more evidence to the table. Jesus never denied the Sabbath should be observed, but rather pointed out the very same things that are pointed out about the blood issue. Jesus himself explained that the Sabbath came to be because of men and not men because of the Sabbath. So you would have to show that the man was willingly ignoring the rule without a need for it. If he was freezing to death and needed the wood to warm himself and his house, then he would have been right to go get the wood.
Jesus pointed out how David violated the law when he was hungry and ate bread that he was not allowed to eat and yet did not die. Read the context of what Jesus said and should be self explanatory
