Ball, I was one of those JW that you described. By the time I left JW, I had pioneered for 9 years with my wife. I had two Lexus, a limousine. A limousine driver. Two homes. A SUV. And a bunch of other stuff. Most of this was acquired while I was a pioneeer. I got into the arts field and became "worldy" popular for it. But in the Cong, I can't tell you how much flack I got. I did everything. Plus, me and my wife BOTH pioneered. Brought many people into the "truth." But the more money I made, the more I was persecuted in the cong. They were very mean to me.

by ball. indid anyone know witness families who were seemingly able to juggle getting a good education and career while maintaining good standing and even high positions in the congregation.
while from the platform, encouraging ones to pioneer from school (like i did), they themselves would be leading a completely acceptable double life, encouraging their children in their careers.
some people were better at that kind of double life than others.

Hey Guys, It's been a long time since I've been on the boards here. This thread has to be the most unbelievable thread I've read here. Especially the trying to place the mags with the paramedics. All this conjured up so many bad memories. The changing point in my JW life was when my best friend committed suicide. I went to the hospital to meet the family and I started to cry. The PO started to CHASTISE me because I shouldn't be crying for someone who just committed "self murder." That night, I was bookstudy night and I had to conduct. But I sat out by the pool instead. But I received a lot of pressure to do the bookstudy. So I "bucked it up" and conducted the bookstudy. I thought it was a sin not to, basically. Afterwards, another elder came up to me and praised me for conducting the study. He also added that... "We're (the elders) are glad you did. We were worried about you for a while there." What he meant by that was the elders were worried that I was showing too much emotion for someone who did such a "bad" thing - committing suicide.

This thread really made me think alot.
This is my conclusion of the matter.
I probably think too much about what others think about who I'm with. That is true.
While there is no thrill for me to brag on a BB on my conquest with women, I do like being seen with beautiful women.
So that is how I am.
But one thing about me, is that I get real offended when people say stuff about me that isn't true.
Things such as "you're on an ego trip or whatever." Allgrown and Lay didn't say that.
They have given me real things to think about.
I'm open to people's honest suggestions.
That was one of my core reasons for my success. I'm willing to listen to other people's opinions.
What I get real fussy about is hypocrites and people who question my motives and or call me shallow.
How honest have I've been here?
I'm the first to admit that I LOVE women. I love beautiful women.
People here who read this. The one's that came down really hard and judgemental on me - and I shut you guys up.
You haven't posted back.
But some people here like Allgrown and Lay gave me some real things to think about.
The two things I've learned is I'm probably not ready for marriage in any way or form.
I've also learned that, being with a JW girl - is heavy baggage. I'm thinking of family problems and so forth.
Anyone else, you have proved no different that the people in the organization that you dispised.
We are all here because we are all product of an organization that was so hurtful and so judgemental that we needed to escape.
You though, have held on to the very fiber of what you yourself say you dispise. Being judgemental.
If you say, I'm immature or I need to grow up - fine.
But to stand on your soap box and preach love and morality - YOUR own words convict you. You are totally moral? You have never done anything that was selfish or HURT other people's lives somehow???
How do you judge me now? I admit to all my flaws.
I do need to grow up. I haven't learned the meaning of true love.
Step a moment into my shoes.
That is why I have the upmost respect for Jesus. Everything was offered to him and he refused.
Things are offered to me and I've taken.
But you, judgemental ones - you are hypocritical. You dispise being judged, yet you keep on judging.

Why is it so wrong to like beautiful women?

And those men that you say are so loving... do you think they don't think of other girls??? young ones - when they have sex with their wives???
If they say they don't, they are way worse than me. They are hypocrites.
Here's the difference. I'm single and I don't pretend that I don't care about how a woman looks.
I always thought I was one of those guys. But when the opportunities to have your own choice of women presents yourself, we're not that pure.
