How many here (believers) believe in the Hell fire doctrine and why??
by jam init's obvious the bible is very clear on a actual hell of fire.
"cursed into the eternal fire with the devil and his angels", rev.20:15.
"lake of fire", rev.21:8 "fire and brimstone".

their view of apostates seems to be out of the realm of the ordinary, the natural.
its as if the words of apostates are supernatual or spiritistic as if apostates are some kind of jedi knights who can slightly wave their hands or twitch their eyes and bring one under a spell.

Why would the society discourage and then encourage in such a short period of time?
Very confusing for the bros and sisters don't you think?

Emeth;...I think it has a lot to do with fear, ì see it in my sisters eyes when I mention anything she can't respond to.
She now uses the internet, but previously would turn her face away if I tried to show her something to back up a point I was making.
I know she believed it was satans work. Now she uses the internet after realising my brother ( an elder ) was using it

Note ;..they are neighbours to aTABAC bar these are the only places in france where you can purchase tobacco products. So plenty of smokers to frown upon and plenty of ciggy butts to sweep from their shop front .I wonder who gets that duty ?

607 vs 587 BC - Cyrus Cylinder

i'm researching 587 vs 607 for the date of the destruction of jerusalem... i'm not doing the research to prove or disprove anything about 1914, rather i'm looking at these dates in comparison to 1948 & 1967.. what is your view on relying on the cyrus cylinder, to accept 607 as the correct date of destruction... i know that there are many other factors.. but i'm trying to keep this portion of my research as simple as possible, so i'm primarily interested in the appropriateness of using the cylinders date of 537 + 70 = 607. one other question.. is it likely that both dates 587 & 607 have their own significance?.

Yes!! I'm with Cofty on this one a plague on society, yet I would never condemn any Christian to hellfire on the contrary I would always treat them with respect albeit that I fundementaly disagree with their beliefs. How abhorrent to even consider someone being tortured in hellfire for ever, and what arrogant ignorance!!

Hi snare;..good point re addictive personality, now that is very worthy of research. I don't know how much this is or has been researched as to why ssome become addicted.
I think the golden rule is if in doubt leave it out.
A clear head must lead to understanding the whys and wherefores of life better, and of course better repercussions for loved ones and society in ganeral.
