  Heavens g,....You do understand what an alternative is .I am not telling you to leave this site, its your choice if you want to stick around.

  Your opinions are not the only ones to be challenged . You may feel you are being ridiculed does that not tell you something about the ridiculous nature of your comments, which leave them wide open to strong rebuttal which you construe as ridicule.

  Be my guest stick around for more if you wish .

  Perhaps you should ask for an opinion from your 8 buddies in New York , then perhaps not they might ridicule you for being so disloyal to the organisation.

  JWN is a vast array of opinion, some may be false, misunderstood even , but that is the nature of OPEN FREE discussion but could in its entirety never be described as a falsehood .

  You are deliberately misguided about the purpose of this forum.

  Many here had the insight to stay well clear of your man made hypocritical organization.

  They still can live loving honest caring lives and detest wickedness without having to compromise their intelligent reasoning to a proven falsehood!!!

  as of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.

  when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.

  this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

  Personally I have found JW politeness soon turns to arrogance when they are confronted with questions which they are unable to understand let alone at least reason on.

  But, of course the closed mindset corners the incumbent person in this way.

  Best to have an open enquiring mind

  The JWs are expected to " toe the line " or suffer the consequences. !!

  Are you as critical of higher education and science as you are of religion?

  i am beginning to see a complete unbalanced shift from one end of the spectrum to the other.

  i'll use jw's as the example but this would apply to any religion and any person.

  if you just accepted the jw teachings unquestionably from the governing body because you felt they were the highest authority on the matter and 'trusted' them before waking up to ttatt you may shift to the other end of the spectrum.

  Very few if any major discoveries are carried out by one scientist archaeologist alone.

  There will be teams of researchers some with differing views, but whatever is published or brought to our attention will have gone through a lot of scrutiny

  If at a later date this information proves through further study to be incorrect, scientists will have no problem correcting or adjusting it.

  All their evidence is there for anyone to accept or refute, it's up to the individual to confirm their decision to accept or otherwise.

  Bible based stories require faith in fairytales by contrast.No intelligent person could make a comparison without compromising their intelligence.

  In my humble opinion of course.

  The"faithful slave" , so called, have never been a faithful anything . Neither a prophet or gods mouthpiece.

  They are 8 men totally caught up in the business of relicom comfortable in the knowledge that they are

  bolstered by individuals too scared to question them(for the most part) I only hope more like d.o.t will
