  the former home of an insurance company will now be used to store bibles by a christian sect.. jehovah's witnesses have bought 1 elstree way in borehamwood, formerly known as pinnacle place, from cardif pinnacle for 4,928,000.. the building will be used by the international bible students association, a corporation of the jehovah's witnesses which distributes bibles and other religious literature.. the non-profit organisation currently operates out of properties throughout mill hill and borehamwood, with headquarters in the ridgeway in mill hill.. it employs 700 people in printing, storing and distributing religious literature throughout britain, europe and africa.. a spokesman for the jehovahs witnesses said the association had outgrown its existing premises and had bought the large building to consolidate its operations.. it will use the new acquisition to store magazines, pamphlets and bibles as well as making full use of the office space.. however it will continue to maintain its headquarters in mill hill, where the literature is printed.. the sale went through in december and the international bible students association is currently preparing the building so it can move in.. jehovahs witnesses are best known for their door-to-door evangelical work, offering bible literature and recruiting and converting people to their beliefs.. the spokesman for the movement said: we are all about bible education and we print biblical literature to distribute around the world.. the people of borehamwood will probably not notice anything different as we are making no changes to the actual building, which is why we did not need planning permission..

  Are the gospels just midrash?

  some responses to this common claim gleaned from internet sources;.

  the idea the gospels are simply midrash has several problems associated with it.

  one is that the genre as such did not exist yet in judaism as the midrashim are a few centuries later.

  Leolaia certainly knows her stuff.Yadda eventually conceded the point but where does that take us?

  These ' type ' of studies interesting as they are in terms of biblical, theological, historical study only serve for these purposes.

  Do the conclusions actually have a bearing on our contemporary lives? If so how?

  Are these subjects offered as a means of understanding ourselves, or as conduit for enlightenment.

  If so I personally fail to see it

  I think I'll just see it as an interesting subject and live my life without the complexities of ancient irrelevant (apart from historical study)

  Who ' inspired ' the use of the internet medium by the borg, G.B. How can they justify the use and promotion of an idea by a mere mortal who by means of this invention has had

  more influence on the worldwide population than jesus christ ?

  Also do they take into consideration the FACT that this method of promoting themselves is used for criminal activity.

  I ask again who inspired this use? Do they not preach and counsel do not go near or associate with the unclean thing? HYPOCRITS !!!

  i read the watchtower article on this "new light.

  " has any information on how "this generation" turned into two overlapping generations of only anointed people been printed?

  the word "evidence" was thrown around a lot in the article, but none was provided unless something has been printed since then and i have missed it.

  Do the G.B Claim ..TO BE the FDS? The answer is in their liteature and and verbal claims by way of public address.ALL CLAIMS are in print and recorded on film etc.

  To 'BE' Means to exist or live, therefore is this BEING all in their minds only? Or is it reality ie physically existing as part of their human bodies.

  If it is the latter then they should be answerable to a court or authority as the claimed F.D.S,

  so about a few years ago, thanks to this site i became convinced that everything that the jws have been saying is a bunch of nonsense and that i shouldn't worry about it.

  it gave me some comfort, since there are several things i disagree with when it comes to the way one has to live in order to be a witness.

  however, this business with the un attacking the vatican seems a little too much like what the witnesses have been preaching about to simply ignore:.

  Fishy, your analogy r.e fiat car is interesting, consider a car which has a fault which could lead to harm.

  Would it not be fitting for another source to investigate to lessen damage/harm?

  Therefore would it not be BETTER for the user to have safety whether the car was made in rome or N.Y.

  Perhaps a rethink would be in order , as we are talkIng about the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
