Falling Away
by Blueblades ini understand that between 1970 and 1995, one-third of the jehovah's witnesses worldwide left the organization.
the figure is 55% for those in the u.s.a.these figures would seem to mean that there are a lot of dissatisfied jw's!
if you were to ask a jw's,why so many would want to leave if there is such a wonderful atmosphere of love among the witnesses, could they give you a good reason?

Reading Other Books
by Blueblades inwhen one looks at the watchtower publications they soon notice that the writers quote from many different books and encyclopedias in order to try to prove their beliefs and teachings.i would assume that the authors of the articles read these books in detail so as to be certain that they are quoting in context.since they read and quote from so many sources,it seems to suggest that there are many good books on the market that are not written by jehovah's witnesses and yet contain a lot of truth which agrees with watchtower's teachings.so for any lurking jw's,are you free to read these various books?why can the authors of the watchtower publications in brooklyn read these books but not the average jehovah's witness?

Debt/Ransom
by Blueblades indebt:something owed by one person to another or others.ransom:the price paid.in the biblical teaching,6,000 years ago mankind owed a "debt"to its creator.2,000 years ago it was"paid".why so long to be released from the "debt"owed when the payment"ransom" was received so long ago?usually release from a debt comes immediately(at once) after the payment.now i realize that this biblical teaching is not accepted by many, but for those that do accept it ,why so long to get the release when the debt has already been paid 2,000 years ago?blueblades

Fair Play
by Blueblades in.
is it fair play?what i am asking is about fairness and honor concerning god's actions toward physical fleshly humans and his actions toward spirit creatures.first his actions toward spirit creatures.they get to see god.they get to live without growing old and dying.they have no worries about losing loved ones in death.im speaking about those spirit creatures who do not go along with those who have rejected god.now, god's actions toward those physical fleshly creatures.that is those that like the spirit creatures who do not go along with those who rejected god.they dont get to see god.they don't get to live without growing old and dying.they have worries about losing loved ones in death.is this fair play?both creatures who have not rejected god get different treatment .
your thoughts on this question will be very much appreciated blueblades

Freeness of Speech
by Blueblades inhave you ever been told that you do not qualify for a privilege because you lack," freeness of speech".this lack of "freeness of speech" may be the result of something you did or did not do.
also some member of your family could of done something or failed to do something and so the elders decided that you do not have" freeness of speech" because of it.
and so you did not qualify for a privilege.

Life After Death.
by Blueblades inwhy did jesus speak of a dead man as merely sleeping?does this mean that there is no life after death?that death and sleep are actually one and the same?lazarus himself is silent about this.after having spent four days in the tomb dead, he comes alive,or awakens from sleep.when we really sleep our bodies do not corrupt.they clean house so to speak and we are refreshed for another day of life.however, what about lazarus, his body started to corrupt, for he was indeed dead, yet when jesus resurrected him he was whole, alive again..where was he for four days.
?and does the answer to this question answer the question "is there life after death"?
im not asking about near death experiences.that's a whole other subject.im wondering if the lazarus case was unique in demonstrating jesus' power over death,no matter how long one is dead, for he had resurrected others also.

One - sided presentation.
by Blueblades inone method of argumentation that the wt.society uses of the many that they do use is the "one - sided presentation".this is where contrary evidence is suppressed or ignored.for example:the watchtower jan 15,1991 pages 10 to 15,in the article,"teach publicly and from house to house".quotes from 15 one - sided sources in support of its position or argument.all of those sources are from christendom.i'll just name the sources and you can if you choose, look up the article for yourself.1)priest john allard.2)randolph o.yeager.3)abiel abbot livermore.4)wesleyan bible commentary,vol.4 pages( 642-643).5)scholar joseph addison alexander.6) scholar o.a.hills.7)bible scholar edwin w.rice.8)f.n.peloubet.9)j.glentworth butler.10)scholar e.s.
young.11)w. b. riley.12)e.m.blaiklock.13)j. herbert kane.14)oscar e.feucht.15)edward caldwell.
question 16, asks "even writers in christendom make what acknowledgement regarding christians and witnessing?

Abraham's Children
by Blueblades inthis morning on the radio,a rabbi talked about abraham's children.
he said the jews and arabs are abraham's children.i didn't understand what he was getting at.history has shown that they are common enemies.this hatred has gone on ever since ishmael and issac had two different mothers.hagar and sarah.both men would father great nations that would be in rivalry throughout history.that is of course if you believe the bible history vs.secular history.my thought is that there has always been races of people and nationalities that have always been common enemies, throughout the world and its history.
why would it be any different between the jews and the arabs.i understand the rabbi's concern for peace between the two peoples.

Pay Attention:Appealing an appeal?
by Blueblades inunit 5c,page127.when the disfellowshipping is upheld by the appeal committee, there is no further right to appeal.however,if an individual persists in believing a serious error in judgment has occurred, the appeal committee should inform him that he may submit his allegations in writing to the appeal committee within seven days for transmittal to the branch office.the appeal committee will include this statement along with the information being sent to the branch office.
?question:how many are aware that you can appeal an appeal?and dosen't it say ,"there is no further right to appeal.
"then dosen't it say ,'if you are persistent, however, you can appeal an appeal ".notice the second appeal is called an allegation.an assertion made without proof.and then the second appeal which is called an allegation is now called a statement that is being sent to the branch office.hence, the individual has to present evidence that six men have seriously erred in judgment before how many men in position at the branch office without them ever seeing this individual before them personally.and has not the decision already been bound in heaven?

Matthew 10:23
by Blueblades inmt.10:23 "for truly i say to you,you will by no means complete the circuit of israel until the son of man arrives".the 1986 to 1985 wt.publication index give only two places where they interpret this verse, really its only one place.remember the series"jesus life and ministry",that became the book the greatest man who ever lived.
(wt.87,8/1 pg.9 ) and 1991 chapther 50,gt.book.i bring this up because earlier it was suggested that an elder visiting a congregation said that the preaching work would come to a halt and the jws would have a warning signal that armageddon was very near.this was thought to be new light something that was mentioned at the annual meeting.way back in 1987 wt.and repeated in 1991 gt.book it was said , and i quote,"so when saying that his disciples would not complete their circuit of preaching"until the son of man arrives",jesus was prophetically telling us that his disciples would not complete the circuit of the entire inhabited earth with the preaching about god's established kingdom before the glorified king jesus christ would arrive as jehovah's executional officer at armageddon".unquote.nowhere else has this verse been explained any differently, that i am aware of.how does the wt.
reconcile this explanation with mt.24:14 "this goodnews of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations then the end will come.
