Debt:Something owed by one person to another or others.Ransom:The price paid.In the Biblical teaching,6,000 years ago mankind owed a "debt"to its creator.2,000 years ago it was"paid".Why so long to be released from the "debt"owed when the payment"ransom" was received so long ago?Usually release from a debt comes immediately(at once) after the payment. Now I realize that this Biblical teaching is not accepted by many, but for those that do accept it ,why so long to get the release when the debt has already been paid 2,000 years ago?Blueblades

    Hummmmm,

Perhaps the release was immediate and the payoff was sent to the wrong address.

Maybe we didn't understand the debt because we didn't borrow anything.

Maybe everyone has to sign on the dotted line for the debt to be released.

    Maybe they lost the paperwork.
