  One thing about this site that bothers me

  the constant references to 'window washers' as something derogatory.. i understand the context of it-that most jws are uneducated, and unqualified to do much more.

  but sometimes the references seem snobbish, almost mean-spirited.

  one poster, on another thread, essentially referred to window washers as 'losers'.

  Keyser soze...thanks for bringing this up. Your point should be well-taken. So many that I know are doing the best they can with their abilities...why degrade them or their occupation.

  CO is chasing me . Meeting him tomorrow.

  this week is the "special week", co is back.. he phone called me this morning asking to meet together.. i replied "i don't refuse people who want talking to me, but my condition is that you must be alone, and we meet in public space.".

  he agreed and we will meet tomorrow in a cafe.. .

  this week he already met with my wife in the kh, and he told her "i believe your housband is apostate !!

  For start...why be rude?

  being resolved in your convictions does not have to come off as nasty, rude, or indifferent. You lose because he will feel justified...ur what he thought.

  To start it would be better to listen to what he has to say, and what he is "fishing" for. In other word seek to understand then base your comments on that.

  Just finished our 40 min of yoga...if being possessed means feeling great after "doing yoga" then I will continue.

  There was a time that if you said you were taking a yoga class they would DF you...not so much anymore since yoga if done at home can be done without the spiritual chanting.

  I don't see this as a good thing at all. But this is Finland - I'm not sure what protections are awarded relgions. But even as an atheist, I worry about that precedent that it would set. And what are the "human rights" that are violated if a group doesn't want you as a member anymore?

  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

  1. We are all free and equal. We are all born free. We all have our own thoughts and ideas. We should all be treated in the same way.

  14. The right to asylum. If we are frightened of being badly treated in our own country, we all have the right to run away to another country to be safe.

  15. The right to a nationality. We all have the right to belong to a country.

  16. Marriage and family. Every grown-up has the right to marry and have a family if they want to. Men and women have the same rights when they are married, and when they are separated.

  17. Your own things. Everyone has the right to own things or share them. Nobody should take our things from us without a good reason.

  18. Freedom of thought. We all have the right to believe in what we want to believe, to have a religion, or to change it if we want.

  19. Free to say what you want. We all have the right to make up our own minds, to think what we like, to say what we think, and to share our ideas with other people.

  29. Our responsibilities. We have a duty to other people, and we should protect their rights and freedoms.

  30. Nobody can take away these rights and freedoms from us.

  the catholic church has tradition and magesterium.. protestants have sola fide and sola scriptura.. mormons have 12 apostles and a priesthood.. muslims have the mullahs and the hidden imam.. 7th day adventists have the "visions" of ellen white.. jehovah's witnesses have the mouthpiece of god; i.e.

  fds or faithful and discreet slave.. .

  all these religions have something in common--mystical links to justify their own authority!.

  Thanks Terry...my mom who is 80+ can not keep up with the changes. It seems most of that age group still hope for the realization of what they were made to believe...is still true...this saddens me since she is a faithful believer. I feel she would go off the deep end if she would now come to the realization it was all bunk!

  She commented yesterday on how I needed to keep up with all these changes and hoped she was in line with them. She is not able to see for the most part that something is REALLY WRONG!

  Well...I hope he feels better! Now maybe he can move on.

  This reminds me of the mouse giving the elephant the finger...

  Good, bad or indifferent who really cares what people think on this form or there? He did not care! He did not need anyones permission or approval.

  He may have in powered new ones to question a Jw about what he said. You never know what can start someone to think... and start their path to freedom.

  Should we do nothing or only do accordingly to established rules?
