  Is It Time to regroup?

  how much do you want to bet that the organization has already started preparing articles for the watchtower magazines, convention talks, circuit overseers talks and letters to bodies of elders, to refute what is happening in australia?

  .

  right now the most important thing for the wt to do is protect their image that they are gods visible organization.especially in the u.s. and latin american countries.

  The GB has only 1 chance - they have to apologize.

  One example is my elderly mother. If I say anything about 1975, she always say: "look into the 1980 WT, they have said sorry for this" and does not say another word about 1975.

  If the GB apologize about the child abuse, every JW can say, "they have said sorry for that - and now let us speak about something spiritually beneficial".

Unfortunately, however, along with such cautionary information, there were other statements published that implied that such realization of hopes by that year was more of a probability than a mere possibility. It is to be regretted that these latter statements apparently overshadowed the cautionary ones and contributed to a buildup of the expectation already initiated.

  do you think it gives you credibility with others now that all the things you said were going on, actually are documented?

  For me, the recurring thoughts are centred on respect for Barbara Anderson and the steps she made. I wonder how far behind we would be without her and silent lambs. 15 years ago she initiated this huge exposure and I can't imagine how necessary it was for those that have suffered sexual abuse in the religion that simply didn't care, wasn't allowed to care!

  I feel for Barbara and her husband and all the other JWs, who have beed DF for there dedication to help AND to speak for changes in the organisation.

  oh c'me on OrphanCrow - I have done all my reading re the commission and stand by my concerns. I don't like to see the shit kicked out of people even if they deserve it - so we are very different.

  I still think there should be proper representation for both parties. This is coming across like Jesus being questioned before the Sanhedrin but whats more this is even worse as it is public whereas that was in private. edit: Plus Jesus could stand his own better as he was what we would today consider middle class from a sociological perspective whereas these elders who are being questioned are probably not even that, having probably left school at 16-18.

  So - why is the JC from the elders not public (like the bible want it)?

  So - where is the proper representation for both parties in a JC?

  Why can a JC not be filmed? Why must be the documents of a JC destroyed?

  Why can't I have a lawyer or other person with me in a JC - when the elders are 3 persons?

  Because, the elders are thinking, that it is OK in this way they handle it.

  So they have to accept, that it is for the Royal Commission also OK the way, they doing it.

  If Disfellowshipping pedophiles protects the congregation, what does it do for "Those Outside" they are expelled to?

  we all know the wt basis for disfellowshipping, (1 corinthians 5:9-13) 9 12 for what do i have to do with judging those outside?

  do you not judge those inside, 13 while god judges those outside?

  remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.. if removing "the man" is a protection for the congregation and no police are called, what does it say about the witnesses view of the world?

  They have no compunction about sending predators out in the world without warning them. The protection of the flock is done by merely banishing them with an option to return, but they can rape in the meantime? Does this show contempt of the Witnesses towards their neighbor? How can you do this and "love your neighbor as yourself"? What is your view of this?

  They have learned from "the great teacher" - Jesus & his "father".

  Jesus protected the heaven and removed satan into the circle of the earth.

  And put it also into the bible:

  (Revelation 12:12) 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”

  this australian investigation is astounding to watch.. the elders clearly don't see child abuse as criminal, if a jw confessed to murder, the police would immediately be called.

  yet child rape is a spiritual issue..... ridiculous.. this is what happens when 7 window cleaners lead a bunch of dangerously loyal, ignorant middle aged men ...... in managing 7 million people..

  But he does not speak about this divine law (Why god gave this law? Does he know, that a rape mostly has no second witness?):

  (Deuteronomy 22:25-27) 25 “If, however, it is in the field that the man found the girl who was engaged, and the man grabbed hold of her and lay down with her, the man who lay down with her must also die by himself, 26 and to the girl you must do nothing. The girl has no sin deserving of death, because just as when a man rises up against his fellowman and indeed murders him, even a soul, so it is with this case. 27 For it was in the field that he found her. The girl who was engaged screamed, but there was no one to rescue her.

  A good evidence here, that this elder don't follow the bible. He follows man made rules.

  Could this news cause a new revolt of members taking the lead like that which happened after the 1975 fiasco?

  we know that after the 1975 fiasco there were some revolts and disappointments in the brotherhood, which finally caused the removal of raymond franz and overseers like james penton, and so on.

  so, may be these news could cause the revolt of some members in the leadership.

  any thoughts?
