@Kate the GB members nor any of the more than 20,000 JW FTE's dont take any salary home. If they would have done so the costs for that alone would be in a range of 40,000,000 - 50,000,000 a month

philipines disaster news up on jw.org

wouldn't it be nice if they said 'you know what, we've made millions in property sales recently, lets donate a couple million to a philipines relief fund..'
ten vans full, probably just for jw's.

@JW Gonebad are you serious? do you think the ceo's , project managers and FTE's dont get salaries,.. do you think their offices come for free? Get real . Here in the netherlands it is crystal clear how much money is flowing away on salary costs, offices , fundraising and other things. And the philipines is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. The Red Cross cant do any thing about that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_in_the_Philippines

@JW Gonebad Those Red Cross people you spoke with are liars. A big chunk of every dollar is spent on managers, CEO's , fundraising events, big offices , thousands of people called staff, overhead costs etc etc. Only a part of every dollar will reach the Philipines. Once there, what is left of this dollar is further damaged because of corruption on the island itself.

@kate last service meeting we had this week had a little talk about helping our brotherhood no matter if that is locally or internationally. If we, in our congregation, see that people cant afford the heating we would help. James 2:15-17

the only ones asking themselves where the money goes and the ones that do have a problem that JW's donate to the world wide fund are people like you... people who do not identify theirselves as JW's or who are one but secretly are not.
its like doing your groceries at walmart, because you hate 7eleven, but at the same time still wanna know why people shop at 7eleven, how much they spent and what 7 eleven does with its money.
Its our money, we gave it,.. now it belongs to our organisation and it is our business what we do with it. Eleven years talking on this forum did not change that and never will.

Third from the top
by stillin innot being a very technical sort of person, i don't know what it is that makes the "results" from a web search change from day to day, but i have noticed this site sometimes on the first ten "results" and another time very close to the first "results.".
today it is the third result offered on my google search.
first is the official jw website.

@Outlaw i heard the same mumbo jumbo when there were only 2 million JW's and probably you will repeat this nonsense year after year. it does not matter. About 6000 JW's in 1914 about 8 Million publishers and 19 million attendants now.
Whatever you think or say it does not change me thinking ....
Right...the future looks bright...
Have a good night

@OUTLAW i think that is ,deepdown, your wish.
However our experience is different. I , for example, have got a biblestudent and study through the website. Just a guy that applied for study. Few days later the branch office notified us. And i know i am not the only one who got a biblestudent because of the website.
besides that its my experience that people often look for more info after seeing the logo and webadress in our magazines. We also hand out JW.ORG business cards at the door but also to people that approach our mobile carts at train stations. The website is visited by hundreds of thousands of unique visitors per day
