the elders and the watchtower society are big fans of using "restrictions".
anytime a person has judicial action taken against them, they are imposed with "automatic restrictions".
even if a body of elders felt that a person was too fragile to have any restriction placed upon them, they were required by the society to "restrict" them in something.......were you ever put on restrictions?
I was never before a JC or anything, but I lost "priviledges" many times. Most of the times I was never told why.

have any of you ever been faced with a gun at the door?
most of us have at one time or another heave of gun stories.
i was faced with this twice.
I was threatened at the door once with a gun and once with a machete. Both times I just turned and walked away. Another time in pre-JW days, I was shot at from a passing car as I walked down the street. Luckily, he missed. Another time a woman was waving her gun out of a car window as she passed me on the highway, but she didn't shoot. I think she was drunk.

I was pretty crazy and daring before I was a JW. After I became I JW I was a very boring person. I just went to meetings and out in service. My Friday nights were the highlight of my week because I could study the AID book, and later the Insight books. I declined invitations to parties, as I knew they would interfere with my ability to offer insightful comments at the Watchtower study on Sunday. Is anyone puking yet?
I eventually started getting more meaning in my life, and I started going to strip clubs with an MS buddy of mine. I have to admit, my enthusiasm for the Watchtower study began to suffer a decline after that.
