  How on earth does a one day assembly cost so much that by the afternoon they still have an $11k deficit???

  Especially if they have to pay no rent on the facility they're using.

  her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.

  The WTS is a powerful social force within Canada, most everybody there has a relative who is a JW and to all intents and purposes a fine and upright citizen. They are a very difficult people group to bring to book in Canada.

  Which begs the question, if conditions are so favourable for them there, then why is their headquarters in the US.

  Morally they are wrong but legally they are in the right.

  So whatever happened to obeying God's higher moral standard laws rather than men's? Is it just the WT or can any JW jump across that fence whenever it suits them.

  God, the Canadian law system is ****ed!

  I'll say.....

  I'd imagine this is going to have a chilling effect on any Canadian molestation victim thinking of challenging the WT policies.

  well, i might have went a little too far this time, but when someone pushes me, i push back, that's just the way i am.. my parents worst saying, and was probaly one of the reasons that i left jw land was ..................."the worst person at the kingdom hall is better than the best person in the world.".

  if i had a dollar for everytime i heard that growing up.. so, i asked my mom if she still felt that way, she said sort of (very carefully), i said so the jw child molesters are still better then people in the world, is that how you really feel ?

  she started to cry, before it was the media just making up stories, now i think she is realizing that "some" of these stories are true.. she asked me why i hate the jw's so much.. i said i don't hate the jw's, i hate the organization and the lies.

  ...and then they try to parrallel thsi statement with the length of time it took NOah to build the ark and when the floods actually came. All of my JW relatives parrot that garbage daily.

  Yeah .....I remember those reviews. I usually just folded mine up and put it in my bookbag never to be seen of again.

  Are they still giving those out periodically...
